What Scalia’s Death Means to SCOTUS

Judge Scalia This past weekend Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States  (SCOTUS) Antonin Scalia died. It sent shockwaves throughout the conservative community. We were not only saddened that a good man had died but that we lost our conservative voice on SCOTUS. Though they are are a lot of questions surrounding death, I am not going to play conspiracy hunter. This is about what will happen now that Scalia is gone.

  1. We will no longer have a conservative voice on the Court. Unless Thomas picks up theClarence Thomas mantle, it is unlikely we will have a  say in what goes on in SCOTUS. However, Thomas usually just concurred with Scalia, he very rarely wrote any opinions of his own. I don’t see him doing so now. So unless Thomas decides to pick up the torch due to his friend’s Scalia’s death and carry on where he left off, we are in real trouble.
  2. If another liberal justice gets appointed to SCOTUS they win have a permanent 5-4 win. Excluding Scalia the only other conservative judges were Alito, Roberts (who is iffy), and Thomas. With Scalia there were four of them and occassionally they could get another yes vote but without him, if another liberal got appointed then it would be 6-3. So getting five would be a cakewalk and conservatives would essentially be left out of the discussions and/or decisions.
  3. constitutionThere would be no strict constitutionalist left on SCOTUS. Scalia didn’t believe the Constitution was a “living document.” If you want to change the Constitution, you pass an amendment. You don’t like a law, you do it from the Legislature. Not from the Executive nor the Judicial. Scalia understood that. Roberts, no so much, he showed his willingness to bend the Constitution when he voted that Obamacare was a “tax” and not a fine. Thomas is probably a strict adherent since he agreed with everything Scalia said. Sadly, I don’t know that much about Samuel Alito and so I won’t make any predictions one way or another. Regardless, who emerges in his place Scalia was the best and strong strict constituionalist we had.
  4. While Scalia couldn’t stop the legislating from the bench he at least called it out when it happened. “I begin with the Court’s surprising readiness to reconsider a decision rendered a mere 17 years ago in Bowers v. Hardwick. I do not myself believe in rigid adherence to stare decisis in constitutional cases; but I do believe that we should be consistent rather than manipulative in invoking the doctrine. [Emaphasis mine] Today’s opinions in support of reversal do not bother to distinguish—-or indeed, even bother to mention the paean to stare decisis coauthored by three Members of today’s majority in Planned Parenthood v. Casey.”  Scalia’s dissent in Lawrence v. Texas. Scalia was virtually saying that the Court was being manipulative in how it chose to view and use precedent to decide a case. Which has been the case for a long time.  Without him, legislating from the bench will be much easier.

These are the things that will definitely change without Scalia. America didn’t lose a Supreme Court judge on Friday, we lost our best defense at remaning America.

Cecile Richards Backs Hillary Clinton

Cecile Richards picThis has to be the most bonehead thing that has taken place this whole political season and given the bluster that has come from the Trump campaign this past year that is saying something. Let’s look why this why this is so wrong on so many accounts.

  1.  It  is ILLEGAL!!! If Cecil Richards is backing Hillary Clinton on behalf of Planned Parenthood it is illegal to do so. Planned Parenthood is a 501(c)3 company. That means it is non-profit which we know is a lie but as a non-profit it is forbidden from backing candidates on any level. Because they are tax-exempt they cannot “preach from the pulpit” as it were. Now if they were a 501(c)4 Hilary Clintonthen they can back candidates and talk politically but people who donate them cannot write them off on their taxes. Therefore, the very backing of Hillary Clinton can have dire consequences for Planned Parenthood if Cecil continues to speak out on Hilary’s behalf.
  2. If she speaking out on her own behalf but not Planned Parenthood then that is just stupid. At this point, Cruella Cruella DeVilleDeVille looks like Donna Reed in comparison to Cecil Richards. People have pulled their support after the Center for Medical Progress released their videos. While she has lied and said that the videose were all fabricated and untrue. She has also tried that old line that Planned Parenthood does more than abortion and gives women services that they couldn’t get elsewhere-like mammograms. There is  a problem with that though, Planned Parenthood does not do mammograms. She is so out of touch she doesn’t even know what her own organization does. Of course, she came back later and said that Planned Parenthood does not do mammograms. She also claims health care for women will fall apart if Planned Parenthood is not funded, there is a problem with that too. There are more federally funded health clinics than they are Planned Parenthoods.

NATIONAL_PAGE1_cli-adf_pp_map_us_sept

And here they are state by state:

NATIONAL_GRAPHSPAGE2_cli-adf_pp_map_sept

So I guess if you are in Missippi, West Virginia or Wyoming you are screwed right because there is only one Planned Parenthood if you need a cervical exam. Planned Parenthood has all but given Southern women the finger. And DC has none but that is okay we don’t need to help the poorest, urban women in America. Oh but wait, there is about 700 other centers these women can use in the Southern states I mentioned and 54 for DC. So basically you have a woman who constantly lies.

3.  Of course, under ordinary circumstances having two lying women having each other’s back would not be such an odd thing. However, one is running for President and the last thing you need is Broomhilda messing up your campaign with her endorsement. Seriously, what is Hillary thinking? I don’t even like the woman, nor am I going to vote for her but seriously having Cecil Richards endorse you at this time is illogical and detrimental.  This is no different then a few years ago when everyone Barack Obama endorsed didn’t get elected. Really, if you want to be President lady you are going to have to do better than a woman who is not only despised but whose very endorsement is ILLEGAL!!! Do you not pay attention?

AudioGirls Work for Life

Sometimes in life you meet your hero and your response is “Well, that was a huge disappointment.” Other times they seem larger than life. Well, meeting Sylvia Aimerito was definitely like the second scenario for me. I had grown up listening to Sylvia on the radio. She was one of my favorite djs and I loved listening to her on K-EARTH. Even though, I was a 70’s kid and K-EARTH played songs mostly from the 50’s and 60’s back then (today I think they go up to the 80’s) there was something about that music and Sylvia Aimerito that had me hooked. So imagine my surprise when I found out years later Sylvia was not only  a great entertainer but a pro-life Christian. You could have knocked me over with a feather.

Sylvia and her business and ministry partner, Lori Rae Martin are a rarity in any field. For they just don’t talk about saving children, they actually do it. They have been a God-send to crisis pregnancy centers and unborn children. So I decided I wanted to introduce you to these champions of unborn children everywhere. We will start off with simple introductions and then we will get into the interview I had with Sylvia regarding her and Lori’s company AudioGirls.

Sylvia Aimerito is executive director of AudioGirl Ministries, a “bold and active voice for the unborn.”  Co-founded with her business partner Lori Rae Martin in 2009, these “AudioGirls” using an effective three-part strategy of prayer, action, and education, their pro-life team and supporters have helped to save over 1,000 babies from abortion.
Sylvia, in addition to serving as Executive Director for the ministry, is a full-time voice over actress whose voice can be heard on countless commercials, infomercials, and video games. A 25-year veteran of radio, some may have most recently heard her voice on K-EARTH 101, where she was a DJ for over 10 years.

Lori, a former singer at Disneyland and elementary, high school, and university music educator, serves as Creative Director of AudioGirl Ministries. A producer, recording engineer, and published composer, her music can be heard on a best-selling album, The Living Stations of the Cross, “I Thirst” and numerous commercials, TV shows, and video games including: The Travel Channel, Stater Bros., and Minecraft.

As co-founders of AudioGirl Productions, an audio and video production company, they’ve merged their entertainment production skills with being outspoken advocates for life — creating educational and inspirational pro-life content.

My Interview with Sylvia

  1. You were a well known L.A radio broadcaster for 25 years. Why did you decide to switch to running Audio Girl?

Sylvia AimeritoWell, I didn’t really switch.  I had been doing voice overs for many years during my time on L.A. radio.  I had both an L.A. agent and a San Diego agent (still do) and was working steadily (still am!).  It was in 1997 that Lori and I decided to pool our talents and form AudioGirl Productions.  You see, I had a number of voice over clients who were interested in music for their projects so I would suggest they contact Lori, who’s a successful composer.  Lori, on the other hand, had clients who were looking for voice talent and sheAusdioGirl Prodwould recommend me.  Forming AudioGirl Productions just seemed like the smart thing to do…and it was.  We run a very successful company that supplies voice over, vo casting, music from our AGP music library or custom created, copywriting, video production, complete commercial production for radio, TV, the web.  Our website is AudioGirlProductions.com.

  1.  AudioGirl is both a pro-life ministry and a production company, have you ever lost a production client because of the ministry aspect of your company? How do you make the two co-exist?

We haven’t lost a client that we know of.  Of course we firmly believe that we’re doing God’s pro-life work and that He will continue to bring clients to our production company.   He assures that the two co-exist.

  1. What part of your ministry do you consider most vital to saving unborn children’s lives?

Prayer!  It’s the foundation of our ministry.  We began with a monthly Rosary and prayerMass for Life in July of 2009, which we have the first Sunday of every month at St. Cornelius in Long Beach. The Rosary is at 4:30 pm followed by Mass at 5 pm. You can get directions on our website AudioGirlMinistries.com under the Prayer tab.  At the Rosary and Mass for Life, we pray for an end to abortion, for women searching for healing from their abortion, for the men of lost fatherhood, for all who work in the pro-life field and for those who support our ministry and others like ours.  AudioGirl Ministries also purchases ultrasound machinesultrasound machine for pro-life pregnancy clinics.  When an abortion-minded woman sees the ultrasound of her unborn child, there’s an 85% chance she will choose LIFE over abortion.  We have purchased and placed 3 machines to date and we know lives are being saved because of those ultrasound units.

We have a team member who is on the sidewalk in front of the busiest abortion mill in Long Beach counseling women in crisis pregnancies to choose life for their unborn child.  AudioGirl Ministries supplies those moms-in-need who choose life with diapers, cribs, car seats, baby formula, clothes, whatever is needed to help that new mom and her baby.  Our diaper bill alone runs between $300-$500 a month.  We can’t do what we do without the awesome help of our supporters.

Power-of-7-412x500Finally, AGM has a wonderful pro life app called The Power of 7 – 7 Effective ProLife Replies to 7 Common Pro Abortion Arguments. It’s free and available for smartphones and tablets.  We encourage your readers to download it.  We’ve got direct links to the app on our website at AudioGirlMinistries.com, under the Knowledge tab.

  1. How has being involved in the pro-life movement changed your life?

To date, AudioGirl Ministries has been integral in helping save the lives of over 1,000 lots-of-babiesbabies.  Now THAT’S life changing! Who wouldn’t get excited about that!!  It’s a blessing to be doing the work God has called us to do and to use our talents to accomplish His mission.  There isn’t a day that goes by that we aren’t planning, talking, creating, doing something that involves the ministry.  We wait for God’s direction to point us down the path He wants us to travel.

  1. Has there been a specific event you sponsored or were a part of that changed your perspective?

Mother-Teresa-9Yes.  We served as music ministers for Mother Theresa’s visit to Long Beach, CA.  At that event Mother Teresa spoke about abortion and how it destroys lives – the unborn child, of course, and all of those who participate in the process.  That was life changing because Mother Teresa shined a light on the graveness of the situation.  It was a wake-up call to all who were present that day.  At that event, Lori sang a song she had written for Mother Teresa and was able to present her with the lyrics.  Mother Teresa touched Lori’s forehead and told her to ‘keep singing.’  Fast forward to the spring of 2009 when I was encouraged to participate in a 40 Days for Life campaign.  When I came back from praying in front of the abortion mill I sat on the sofa and cried.  The graveness of what was happening inside the abortion mill captured me; I could ‘feel the evil’ coming off the building.  It was then that both Lori and I felt God calling us to ‘get off the sofa’ and do something.  That’s when Lori and I began His ministry – AudioGirl Ministries.

  1. What has been the greatest disappointment you have faced in your ministry? How did you deal with it?

The greatest disappointment is the life we cannot save.   Followed by the minds of pro-abortion people we cannot change. We deal with it by focusing on the lives we have saved and the minds we have changed.

  1. What would surprise most people to know about you?

Probably that we’re a couple of women who work in the entertainment field and we are passionately pro-life and we run a pro-life ministry.

  1. Are there any comments you want to share with Blacknright?

People can help us purchase ultrasound machines when they buy our top selling CD The LS CD CoverLiving Stations of the Cross “I Thirst.” Produced by AudioGirl Ministries, the album has raised over $30,000.00 in CD and digital download sales with EVERY PENNY going to save babies.  It’s available on iTunes, Amazon, and many other online stores.  We have a direct link at AudioGirlMinistries.com on the home page.

We encourage your readers to follow us on Twitter at @AudioGirlM, Like us on Facebook, sign up for our newsletter at AudioGirlMinistries.com, view our pro-life videos on Vimeo and YouTube, come to our Rosary and Mass for Life, join our team!

  1. What are some events you will be a part of in the near future?

Of course, there’s our monthly Rosary and Mass for Life.

Plus Lori and I have signed with a PR firm that will be booking us for speaking engagements.   We do a live presentation of The Power of 7.  It’s informative and very well received!   You can also contact us directly if you’re interested in us speaking to your group, organization, or at your church or school.  Our contact info is on AudioGirlMinistries.com. Every October members and supporters of our ministry participate in the Long Beach Bike Tour portion of the L.B. marathon on our Biking for Babies team.  We raise money for our ministry and we bring pro life awareness to the streets of L.B.  If you’d like to join us contact us via our website.

Finally, thank you, Dena for the opportunity to talk about our pro-life ministry.   We really appreciate it and we appreciate you!

Rush Limbaugh Backs Rubio

Rush-LimbaughThere is nothing more annoying than knowing the truth about someone or something and everyone ignoring you or thinking you are nuts, then all of a sudden a celebrity comes along and claims what you have been saying all along to be so and boom everyone now believes it. However, if it takes Rush to make everyone pay attention to Marco Rubio then so be it!

According to reports Rush has called Rubio a “full throttled conservative” which everyone rubio with flag in Iowaat California Students for Rubio knew to be true. People tried to say he wasn’t pro-life which was always perplexing to me because you only have to look at his record to see there is no one more pro-life than Marco Rubio. NARAL gave him 0% rating. You don’t get more glorious in the pro-life world than that. Conservatives all over the place have talked how the Keystone Pipeline would not only create American jobs but would help with our dependence on foreign oil. Do you know who was the sponsor of the Keystone Pipeline initiative? That is right, Marco Rubio, but he never gets credit for that.

ap_immigration_reform_mi_130128_wmainThey throw up immigration in his face. True, he was part of the Gang of the Eight. However, think about it if you were a senator, wouldn’t you try to sit on a committee that dealt with one of the major problems of our country or would you just sit it out and let others deal with it? Even if the Gang of Eight blew up in his face he tried. But let’s hear what Marco wants to do in terms of immigration from him and not from pundits:

Starting on Day One of his presidency, Marco will be focused on immigration security.

He will:

  • Cancel President Obama’s unconstitutional executive orders
  • Eliminate federal funding for sanctuary cities
  • Deport criminal illegal aliens
  • Hire 20,000 new Border Patrol agents
  • Finish all 700 miles of walls on our southern border
  • Implement an entry-exit visa tracking system
  • Implement a mandatory eVerify system
  • Install $4 billion in new cameras and sensors on the border
  • Marco on Immigration and Border Security

Do you want to hear the craziness of our current immigration system? We already have anImmigration-Services_1 e-Verify system in place but it is ILLEGAL to use. Can someone explain that to me? Marco, on the other hand, would allow us to use what we already have in effect! And sanctuary cities like San Francisco should not only receive no federal funding, the leaders of those cities should be brought up on charges and jailed for breaking federal law (I will talk to Marco about that. LOL ) As you can see from the above Marco is hardly soft on immigration.

Man_throwing_moneyMarco is a big spender, those who don’t know him will say. Oh please, I probably spend more in a single day than he did as his term as Senator. Marco voted down the Minimum Wage Act and some bizarre Paycheck Fairness Act. I read it twice and I still don’t get it. He also voted down the temporary debt ceiling but yeah he is a big spender! You can go look up his record for yourself.

The point is Marco Rubio is not some RINO, he is tried and true conservative and if anyone can lead this country successfully into the 21st century, it is my man, Marco! So stop listening to your friends who may have their own agenda and give Marco an once over, you will not be disappointed.

Marco Rubio Pulling Ahead

Rubio in Iowa

When I first started blogging for Marco Rubio and I would mention his name people would ask, “Who is Marco Rubio?” That question is fast becoming passe. Not only do people know how who he is now, some are even becoming fans. Of course, to paraphrase a famous country song, “I was a Rubio Fan Before Rubio was Cool.”

According to NBC News Rubio pulled in third in the Iowa Caucus. A lot of people might rubio with flag in Iowathink that that third is nothing to be proud of but it is also nothing to sneeze at. To go from a Florida Senator that hardly anyone knew about to being third in the Iowa Caucus is quite a rise in the overall polls. According to that same article: Marco Rubio didn’t win the night in Iowa, coming in third at the caucuses with 23 percent behind Donald Trump at 24 percent and Ted Cruz at 28 percent. Rubio Third In Iowa. The interesting take is that Rubio is only one point below Donald Trump!

Donald Trump in IowaThough Donald Trump was supposed to be the shoo-in for the Republican nomination, it no longer looks that way. While many people may agree with Trump on the issues, they don’t agree with his blustery attitude. Another surprise came out of Iowa’s Caucus:

“The Florida senator was the clear favorite of caucus-goers who were most concerned about electability. He took 43 percent of voters who said winning the general election in November was their most important candidate quality.

He also won about four-in-10 of those caucus-goers who valued political experience over outsider status.” Rubio Surprise So don’t count out the Florida Senator yet, he definitely has more in store for his campaign and despite the naysayers he just might be our next American President.
