Okay day two of my 30 days of Heroes.
July 31, 2010-Today is Lena McAllister Stackhouse.
Wherefore, the Lord God hath given a commandment, that all men should have charity, which charity is love. ~2 Nephi 26:30
Lena is my hero for the day because she has been such a terrific example of service and charity. For this entire summer she has taken Adonai one day a week-on Fridays-so I can go to my meetings I attend. The meetings are important to my men…tal health and help me deal with issues that I need to work on. When I don’t attend these meetings, life gets real squirrely real fast. She never asks for anything in return. She has a wonderful heart and a giving spirit. She is epitome of Christ like love and charity. She has proven herself to be a wonderful sister. And I don’t know what I would’ve done without her. She stepped up when no one else did and she didn’t even know me. She just knew I needed her help. She has been a tremendous blessing and example to me of what sisterly love looks like.
I hope God continues to bless her because she is so deserving of his love and 
blessing. If we had more Lenas in the world, this world would be a much better place. One of my favorite things about Lena besides her generous heart is her beautiful smile. She has a smile that makes the sun look dull in comparison. She exudes joy, kindness and compassion.
And the topper of all this-ADONAI LIKES HER!!! And Adonai hates everyone. LOL. No, he doesn’t-he’s a sweet kid, but he is a handful and he likes going to Lena’s house! From what she has told me, her family also likes him as well! So if you can get Adonai to like you, you are doing something right! God bless Lena!
For all these reasons Lena McAllister Stackhouse is my hero for the day.
