A Feminist Case Against Gay Marriage

Though I do not purport to be a feminist, in fact, I abhor the very idea, that doesn’t mean that I am incapable of seeing something from the other person’s perspective. Somehow the gay movement has gotten itself aligned with the Civil Rights Movement and Women’s Rights movement to the detriment of both. While most feminists are devoutly pro-gay, that doesn’t mean that all feminists are. Since the pro-gay feminists have their voice already in the fray, I will be playing Devil‘s Advocate for feminists who oppose gay marriage.

A feminist worth their salt would reject gay marriage as an assault on women. I can see the people rolling in the aisles already, such an assertion is lunancy. However, the proponents of gay marriage want marriage to be a “basic human right.” By making it a right,  you are disregarding a very important aspect of marriage-the ability to reject a marriage partner based on your own free will. A right cannot be rejected simply because you don’t want to adhere to it. For instance, I cannot be denied the right to vote based on my skin color, no matter what you may or may not think of my skin color. My right to vote is not conditional on your opinion of me. However, you do have the “right” to not to marry me based on my skin color, or my weight or that you simply do not like me. Those are valid reasons not to marry me. Whether or not they are discriminatory is irrelevant, marriage is the joining of two people (male and female)  who have made a commitment to one another of their own free will to be wed and to raise a family. To force someone to marry another person is indeed a form of slavery.

Marriage DayNext, if marriage does become a right. It will be a right for men,not women. Historically, whenever marriages have been perceived as a right, it was the men who were able to choose their bride and the women pretty much had to go along for the ride. Women’s rights will be greatly affected should marriage become a right once more. Poor women would be forced into marriage in order to gain some financial security. Even wealthy women would be told whom to marry as marriage once again became nothing more than a contract between two wealthy families. Any control over her life would be lost. She would once again become the property of her father, her husband or some other significant male but not herself.

Third, marriage is already an equal partnership and puts women on par with men. Since a man can only marry a woman, she becomes essential to the institution of marriage. Should gay marriage take hold, she would lose the one area of equal status she has always had-that of being a wife. Wives have always had a higher degree of societal status and a larger degree of respect. With the onslaught of women leaving the home and going into the workforce wives have lost that automatic rise in status. Now what a woman does job-wise is how she achieves any sort recognition within society. Which is fine if you are a CEO of Ebay or run some Fortune 500 company but the maid at the Hilton is not significant at all, not even as a wife and/or mother. We have completely undervalued women and torn them from their most important role-that of wife and mother.

Lastly, there are more gay men[about 2.4% of the population] then

English: This protester was on his own and let...

there are lesbians [about 1.2% of the population]. That means gay men will receive far more of the benefits of marriage then women. It also says once and for all that women are irrelevant and have no place inside marriage! It will make the marriage about sex and not procreation and raising children. By defining marriage in such a putrid fashion, we lower our standards and women will once again become sex objects. Vessels of lust and nothing more. By degrading the mother of the species we will be putting our children in danger. For we will undervalue anything that comes from the female-most importantly children. Children have already been cast as the enemy of the women through the pro-abortion movement. We have already turned men against women and tried to completely dismantle the human family. And we see the moral depravity that has resulted from our social engineering.

In closing, even though women will be the ones most adversely affected by gay marriage, their voices are not being heard. It is not about equality because marriage as it currently is known is the most egalitarian institution we have. To tear that asunder would do a disservice to all women and children. If two men want commit sodomy let them do so without the approval of the state. No one is stopping them but marriage needs to be maintained for a healthy society to continue to function. Any feminist should be angry that 2.4 percent of men are being favored over 98.8 percent of women! Is this a fair exchange…is this justice…is this equality? I think not!

New York Passes Gay Marriage Legislation

There are at least 29 sane people in New York who sit on the legislature. In a vote of 32-29, the New York legislature voted to legalize gay marriage. I would not be exactly dancing in the streets if I was a gay activist as they have taken to doing. This is not a ringing endorsement of gay marriage by a long shot. If anything it should be more discouraging to the winning side that after all this time, they are still barely getting enough votes to pass their agenda.

In fact, in a state as overwhelmingly liberal as New York to have 29 people say no to gay marriage is rather shocking. Trust me, if it was reversed and the legislature had voted it down while I would be happy it didn’t pass, I would be highly concerned that the margin for its failure was so slim.

This is nothing new for the gay marriage camp though, because they know they cannot let the people decide if they want gay marriage in their state or not. Whenever they have, they have lost. In fact, On November 4, 2008, California voters approved Proposition 8 by a margin of almost 600,000 votes. It took a renegade judge, Vaughn Walker,  with his own agenda to undo the will of the people.

History has shown while the people are not always right, the government is more frequently wrong and on the important issues of the day, especially the Court. The Court gave us Dred Scott vs. Sandford, Plessy vs. Fergueson. Taney, who was the Supreme Court justice on the Dred Scott Case is quoted as saying:

It is difficult at this day to realize the state of public opinion in regard to that unfortunate race which prevailed in the civilized and enlightened portions of the world at the time of the Declaration of Independence, and when the Constitution of the United States was framed and adopted; but the public history of every European nation displays it in a manner too plain to be mistaken. They had for more than a century before been regarded as beings of an inferior order, and altogether unfit to associate with the white race, either in social or political relations, and so far unfit that they had no rights which the white man was bound to respect.

Therefore do not give me the dog and pony show about the “sanctity of our courts” and the “nobleness” of those who sit on the bench. They were wrong in 1857 when Dred Scott was decided, they were wrong in 2009 when they overturned Prop 8 and the legislators were wrong in New York. And for those of who think the gay activists are not trying to destroy marriage but just broaden the concept, there is this gem:

But once the judiciary or legislature adopts “the union of any two persons” as the legal definition of civil marriage, that conception becomes the sole definitional basis for the only law-sanctioned marriage that any couple can enter, whether same-sex or man-woman. Therefore, legally sanctioned genderless marriage, rather than peacefully coexisting with the contemporary man-woman marriage institution, actually displaces and replaces it. [Marriage Facts. Monte Neil Stewart]

What this really is about is the complete dismantling of marriage and the traditional nuclear family in order to make petulant adults feel good about their own dysfunctional lives. God help us all.

Unhappy Voters, Happy Country?

With the growing discontent among voters, especially with the two party system that seems to mirror each other, how can we turn that around and become a happy country? First of all, what are we? Are we happy, upset, discontent, and just out all angry? What is the pulse of the American voter

While I am not a liberal and don’t go around speaking for everybody, I will say the growing frustration among the American populus doesn’t have to be a bad thing. It can actually be a catalyst to making improvements within our country. Some of the improvements I would like to see are the following.

1) Education becoming more valued. I think Americans take their education for granted. It is time we start realizing while we were being apathetic, our children were being dumbed down. We need to empower parents (after we educate–not indoctrinate–them, of course) to make decisions regarding their child’s future. By letting the state have control over where our children go to school, what they learn and how rapidly they can advance, we have severely damaged our children.  There needs to be more done in the way of school choice. Whether it is vouchers, promotion of homeschooling and creating a competitive environment in which schools compete for students to better serve the children, we need to stop looking to the same old liberal doctrine that has created this mess to begin with. We need to eliminate the Department of Education and get the federal government out of the education business. At least in terms of K-12, for postsecondary colleges we need to do better to make sure people are learning the courses they need to be gainfully employed. We need to abolish the No Child Left Behind Act and really get together on a local level to get rid of bad teachers and court good ones.

2.  We need to protect human life from conception to natural death. Nothing we can do is more important than this. If we don’t protect life at all stages, it is up for grabs at any stage. By making sure this fundamental right is granted and that all people have the right to be born, we secure the rest of our rights as well. There can be no rights without the right to life. We must continually press on and fight for the rights of the unborn, disabled and elderly who are often the target of a hateful Leftist regime who sees no innate value in their lives. This is not a political issue, it is a human issue and anyone who cannot understand that doesn’t deserve to be called a human being since they see fit to strip that title from others.

3) We need to secure marriage.  Marriage, in and of itself, is very equitable. It says one man HAS to marry one woman and both parties are entitled to the full rights and benefits of such union. There is no discrimination in marriage as it currently stands. In fact, it is the gay community who wishes to discriminate and make marriage unequal and who promote inequality, not equality. We need to secure marriage because it offers the best hope to families. It is the safest place for women and children. By working to make sure marriage stands between one man and one woman we are actually producing a benefit to everyone in society, even gays, for when societies are stable and not fraught with contention, everyone is more free.

These are the things that inspire me to continue to speak out and try to make a difference. We each need to recognize if there are overwhelming ills in our society, it is because we have allowed them to go unchecked and have neglected our responsibility to correct them. Right now, everyone seems to be divided and fighting amongst themselves. However, if we are wise we can use that unhappiness we feel to motivate us into action and to help move America forward. We  need not settle for what the Republicans and Democrats says are the best and the brightest. The time has come to make a difference. The way you do that is by starting small. Get involved in your local community by volunteering at schools, churches, and local neighborhood councils. You can write letters to your representatives, better yet if their office is near you, drop in for a visit. You can sign petitions or do a 101 other things that will make an impact on your life.  I think we are at this point, where people are seeking out ways to make this a happy country once again. If enough people get involved and start being of service, we won’t need the politician’s paltry band-aids for our ills, for we will have the medicine that can save our lives. That medicine is called Unity. You know as in the UNITED States of America!

I Am Your Warning: My Socialist Life

Published April 27, 2009 by blacknright

communist-flag1While people are up in arms about the impending socialism starting to take over our country and while it is some foreign abstract concept for them, it is my reality. I know all too well what happens when government runs your life. What you have to give up, what dreams you deny. My life started out normal enough. I was born to a drug addicted mother and was put up for adoption. I was given to the Leichnitzes. They were a loving family with three children of their own and yet they had enough love for me to take me in and make me their own. Like many children of my time, they divorced and when I was fourteen my father was killed by a drunk driver. And so began my long journey into freedom denied, into a life I would never escape. denaleichnitzamos

I attempted suicide because the grief of losing my dad was too much and I was immediately locked up. I would not get out until I was 21 years old. I was put into juvenile placements while my father’s murderer walked around a free man. I was doing his time! I was told when to get up, go to bed, when to eat. I was a teenage girl and should’ve been going to dances and dating but of course any contact with the opposite sex was strictly forbidden. I was watched 24 hours a day when I walked in that place with my vomit stained nightshirt from the suicide attempt (I had overdosed on my seizure medication), even when going to the bathroom or showering, I had to be watched. I was not allowed passes to see my family because my insurance wouldn’t pay for it. So on special occasions they would write a pass for me anyway and tear it up when I got back. I have been restrained, given medication to sedate me and put into a “seclusion room” which is just a rubber room. I have had six men restrain me (even at 122 pounds I was a strong and rambunctious girl) and I have been talked to death in therapy. I have had rooms with a private bath and have had to shower with a gang of girls. I have slept on hard metal beds all in a row and eaten food you wouldn’t feed to dog. I have seen the boy I love been taken away in shackles3chains and shackles like he was a wild animal. He was taken to CYA (California Youth Authority, which is prison for kids) while I stood there crying. He cried too. I have seen people drug by their hair and bruises on their arms from getting too much Thorazine. I lost my adolescence because the state knew better.

During these years I created my own family since mine was being weddings1denied to me. The boy who was taken away was my “husband” and we had two “daughters.” I loved those girls and whenever they needed someone to talk to I was there. You can’t deny the need for family because it is just too ingrained. And if we couldn’t have our Moms and Dads well we would just have to be them for ourselves. I have been a “little sister” and a “big sister” and I have had more surrogate mothers than I can shake a stick at. This is how the state “raises” its young. Be afraid, be very afraid.

medicationsAs an adult I grew up and I was finally able to get myself on SSI. I needed that because they would pay for my meds. However that meant, never making enough to be self-reliant for if I did I could lose my Medi-Cal and that meant paying for my own meds which were terribly expensive. Still I have worked. I worked for LAUSD, where I wasn’t allowed to work full time because they didn’t want to give Instructional Aides any benefits. We paid union dues to the teacher’s union but never once got any benefit for them. I worked for LAUSD for four years. I did all the work of the teacher but never got paid like one. I have worked for places like Beyond Shelter and Shelter Partnership, which helped the homeless. I have done receptionist work, data entry and have even gotten paid to write. But always I made sure to stay below the radar. I needed those meds. So what did I give up to make sure I had my meds-a husband. I fell in love with a great man when I was 21. We wanted to get married but it meant each of us losing half our benefits. We were already living hand to mouth, we couldn’t afford to live on just one check. So we had a “holy union.” We ended up breaking up four years later. Once a year I get letters from the government asking about income status and changes in family status. Each letter strikes fear in my heart. Will they deny me? I had been denied once. Maybe they will do it again? What will happen if they do? I am going back to school so I can be self-reliant. Before I didn’t have God, now I do. I know he will provide for me. He always has.

But this is your life on socialism people. It is a life that is not yours. A life where any control you have is limited. It is a life where other people call the shots and not only do you obey, you thank them for it. It is a life where decisions like who to marry and when are taken from you. It is a life of emptiness. It is a life without fathers, a life without husbands, and a life without families. It is a life of lies. Lies like “I don’t need a man.” Lies like, “Only suckers work.” It is a life so far removed from God and anything righteous that you wonder if He can even see you. Does he know how badly you want your own life back? Does He know how badly you need your dignity? This is your warning. I am fighting against socialism because I have lived it. It is not some concept I heard about in an economics class. It is not something I read about in a history book. I have lived it and I have realized I deserve better. So I am going to work towards being the best person I can be and I can’t do that in my socialistic existence. I must rise above it! I must achieve greatness because my son needs to know whatever he sets his mind to adonaiatrallyhe can achieve and I am going to be that example for him! So while many of you are fighting against welfare, taxes and for more money. I am fighting for liberty! I am fighting for my right to exist! And while I thank the American taxpayer for saving my hide on more than one occasion, I must make my own way. I am forever indebted to the generous and benevolent taxpayer but I will always despise the government that took so much from me. You have been forewarned. Now go out and fight for the liberty of all your brothers and sisters stuck in this socialistic nightmare.

A Real Feminist Would…..

Published March 30, 2009 by blacknright

I am so sick of feminism being associated with these hateful, leftist women emma-smithwho want nothing more than to tear donwn the traditional family, our country and even God himself. I am part of an organization that was built on true feminism-The Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. These women knew they were daughters of God and acted accordingly. So in line with the true feminism of the past, I have decided to write a short essay on what a real feminist would do today.

A real feminist would……

sonogram-pic61) Fight to end abortion.  No true feminist would ever pit mother against child and would help the mother improve her lot so she could raise her child more successfully. She would know abortion is about man’s freedom, not hers and she would fight the greedy profiteers who get rich off women’s pain.  A true feminist would abhor abortion as a man’s way of ditching his responsibility to the woman and the child.  She would not view it as a woman’s right at all but as women being failed.

2) Fight for school choice. She would want all children to be able to go to the best schools and would allow parents to pick the schools instead of school districts.   Her allegiance would not be with the failing schools, the inept teachers and bureaucrats but with the parents and the children. She would encourage homeschooling and allow parents the opportunity to educate their own children without government interference.

you_may_now_kiss_the_bride3) Fight for marriage which provides women and children the best opportunity for grow.  She would know that women are safer in a marriage than they are out of it.  She would fight for true marriage equality which keeps the woman a necessary part of marriage through heterosexual unions and would fight gay marriage which removes woman as a necessary part of marriage.  She would understand authentic marriage is already equal and gay marriage is a discriminatory practices that relegates women to second class citizens unworthy of marriage.

4)  Fight for capitalism.  It is not socialism that brings people out of man_throwing_moneypoverty, rather it keeps them in it. It is capitalism that allows people to be successful and promotes individual effort. It is capitalism that rewards creativity, ingenuity and self-reliance. It is capitalism that allows us to have choice-Pepsi or Coke,  Dell or HP, Big Mac or Whooper.  Without the competition that forces companies to produce better products at reasonable prices we would all live under monopolies and be forced to buy from a solitary company (mainly the government) that never had to produce a quality product because they knew we had no other choice.

5) Fight for the rights of men. That’s right-men. They wouldn’t allow their brothers, fathers, sons, husbands and other important men in their life to be degraded and abused.  They would see that men and women are not enemies but complementary units needed not only to survive but thrive. They would understand that by working with men and not against them we achieve a level of excellence we cannot achieve otherwise.  That their strengths does not make us weak.  That by building all people up, men and women, Black and White,  Jew and Gentile, that we are building up God’s kingdom on Earth.  We are building a nation of supreme beings. We lose ourselves not because we reach out to men but because we cut ourselves off from them.

old-new-testament_bxp255616) Most importantly, they would fight for God and the free expression of religion, most specifically Christianity.  The belief in Jesus Christ has done more to uplift people than any liberal social program has ever done.  The belief in God has caused people to leave behind life long addictions and change their life. That no one has ever been able to top the Ten Commandments as the most complete guide to living a moral life and achieving happiness.

Ah, yes this is what a real feminist would believe and fight for. Too bad there are not more of them. We need all the real feminists we can get.

Woman Marries Dolphin (No, I Am Not Joking!)

Published March 11, 2009 by blacknright

dolphinGay activists have said for years that their ability to marry would not open the door for these insane practices.  They couldn’t say why not but often said we were just using it as a smokescreen to deny them the rights they so deserved.  So now it has finally happened.  A woman has “married” a dolphin.  Now, no one loves dolphins more than me but come on people-this is sick!

And did anyone ask the dolphin if  he wanted to “marry” this crazy woman? If you are so gung ho on animal rights, shouldn’t this dolphin had been consulted before forced into a marriage with some broad he has seen a handful of times over his 35 years.  Now it is stuck with this partner it did not choose! We are always saying people should be able to pick their own marriage partners, shouldn’t that go for dolphins too? And how is the dolphin going to explain this to his “old lady” that he might already have?

The marriage took place in Israel of all places.  You know Jesus is up there going, “Okay you know that whole “Chosen People”  thing? I take it back! You guys are a bunch of loons!” The woman who married the dolphin is named Sharon Tendler.  She is a 41 year old  Jewish British woman.  The dolphin she married is “Cindy.” (What a mean thing to do to a “man” give him a girly name like Cindy!) Sharon has declared, “I’m so happy. I made a dream come true, and I am not a pervert.” Isn’t that the first thing you say when you ARE in fact, a pervert.  No one ever says, “I love my husband….and I am not a pervert.” It is the perverts who actually try to convince people they are not! Now this marriage is not actually legal….for now.  But it begs the question, why not?  Why shouldn’t we allow these two to be wed if marriage is all about love and children are not an integral part of the institution? After all, isn’t that what the gay community has been trying to convince us? Well these two “love” each other and they definitely won’t be having children, so why can’t they marry and have it legally recognized as such?

Gay activists say it is about equality. Well then why are taking an institution that is already equal and making unequal? Marriage as it stands today says, “One man MUST marry one woman.” The woman is recognized as integral to the institution of marriage. And it will be women who will be adversely affected should gay activists get their way. After way, there are more gay men then lesbians, so gay marriage says “Women are unnecessary for the institution of marriage.”  Women’s rights will shrink under gay marriage because if marriage becomes a “right” then men will enforce that right to marry women they want to marry regardless if the woman wants to marry them or not.  You only have to look at arranged marriages to see who benefits the most from those-it is not the women. She has no say in the matter and forced to marry a man she doesn’t love.  And while the divorce rate may be lower in those instances, it is because it isn’t a real option for her to begin with.  Is this what we want to go back to? The days where marriage was forced upon women, when women had no say and when women were subjagated to males?

These counterfeits are not allowing us to progress but are in fact curtailing it.  We are not advancing but are in fact, regressing to a primal and in this case, quite literally, an animal state.  This is not enlightenment, it is chaos! God bless those who continue to tell the truth in this  matter and stand in defense of marriage.

Gay for a Day

Published December 10, 2008 by blacknright

I am so sick of gay people and their meaningless protests that it is nottelephone even funny. But here we are again talking about another pointless protest over Prop 8. I have never seen such immaturity in all my life, my son is more intelligent and grown up then these folks. But at least with this protest, there are no screaming banshees to be heard from.

Call in Gay for Day Protest

According to One News Now the idea is the brainchild of two men, “Sean Hetherington, a West Hollywood comedian and personal trainer, dreamed up the idea with his boyfriend, Aaron Hartzler, after reading online that a few angry homosexual-rights activists were calling for a daylong strike to protest California voters’ passage last month of Proposition 8, which reversed this year’s state Supreme Court decision allowing same-sex “marriage.” The couple thought it would be more effective and less divisive if people were asked to perform community service instead of staying home with their wallets shut. Dozens of nonprofit agencies, from the National Women’s Law Center in Washington to a Methodist church in Fresno collecting food for the homeless, have posted opportunities for volunteers on the couple’s website.”

anthony-avWhile it is good they are at least trying to promote giving back to the community. To use charities for some political ploy is definitely on the sleazy side. How about the losses those charities will lose money because of those who do support Prop 8 and do not want to be associated with those that don’t? By listing themselves on these men website they are probably doing themselves more harm than good. But again that is entirely each charity’s decision.

Next, if this country is as homophobic as they say it is why would they encourage people to call in “gay” for the day. It would be like encouraging people to call in alcoholic for the day or to call in as a “pedophile” for a day. Calling in as the latter could very well get you hunted down and killed. They are always talking about gay bashing, if that is the case, wouldn’t calling in gay for the day be the equivalent of handing someone the bat? I only bring this up to illustrate , the depths they will go to create a lie. They know the probability of someone being bashed because they are gay is small and getting fired for being gay is even smaller. Therefore they have no fear in telling people to call in gay because if America was truly as hateful to gay people as they are always trying to represent then they would have to be all kinds of cruel to tell people to risk their very lives for a cause that is not even their own.

This is America and if they want to waste their time crying over spilled milk, let them. But none of this is changing people’s minds except some of those who voted No might now be wishing they had voted Yes. These constant stunts are not winning hearts and minds but are driving the wedge deeper. And in the spirit of their movement I have come up with my own mantra, “I’m straight, I procreate, get used to it!”

Note:  After I had finished my article I found this:

Calling  In Gay-A New Way to Protest

Scott Craig, a fifth-grade teacher at Independence Charter School in Philadelphia, had no problem requesting and being granted the day off. So many of the school’s 60 teachers were eager to show support for gay rights they had to make sure enough stayed behind to staff classrooms.

About 25 teachers plan to take Wednesday off and to have their work covered by substitutes while they discuss ways to introduce gay issues to their students and volunteer at the local branch of the American Civil Liberties Union, Craig said. A letter telling parents why so many teachers would be out went home Monday.”

Now remember these are the same people who told us our children’s education wouldn’t be affected! And here it is coming to fruition! You want to ruin your life with HIV, MRSA, and every other disease known to man-fine but you leave my kids out of it! You want to go around sleeping with everything that moves-fine but leave my kids out of it! You want  to live your life like one endless porn movie-fine but you leave my kids out of it!  All I know is if Arlington Heights ever tries some nonsense like this I will be all over them like white on rice!

I am sick of these people using innocent children as their pawns and if they think I am going to continue to stand for it well they got another think coming! Stop using children for your sick, twisted and perverted agenda! If you are so hot on killing yourself with homosexual sex-do us a favor-do it and shut up about it! Leave our kids and the rest of us alone we don’t care about your lifestyle, we don’t want to hear about it. If it is none of our business, stop making it our business and keep your nastiness out of our schools!
