Why Marco Rubio for President?

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio speaks at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla. on Thursday.

Everyone who knows me knows that I am a Jindal girl. He is my favorite conservative politician and though I would love to see him as President, I don’t think he has the pull at this time to gain the Presidency. Though he would make a fantastic vice president. That being said I do think Marco Rubio does have the necessary pull among mainstream America to pull in a successful Presidential race. That is if The GOP listens to its constituents (which it usually doesn’t.).

You might be asking yourself why you should vote for Marco Rubio? What can he give you that some other Republican nominee can’t? I will go through why he is better than some of the other candidates and his voting record, so you can get a better look at why Marco Rubio should be our next President.

  1. Trump vs. Rubio

Trump has burst onto the Republican scene as the candidate to beat. He obviously has a lot of ideas that people agree with, especially when it comes to amnesty and immigration. However, having a few good ideas is not enough to make you a good President. Every President since FDR has come in with “good” ideas on how to improve America. Yet we have had far more mediocre and bad presidents than we have had good or great ones. So good ideas alone cannot make a Presidency. Even Obama came in saying he was going to make the government more transparent. That every bill would be posted for at least 48 hours before any vote was taken (and when is that exactly happening Obama?!) and instead we got the Fast and Furious, hidden emails from Hilary and conservatives being threatened by the IRS. So much for that transparency.

Rubio, on the other hand, doesn’t just talk a good game about what is going to do he has a record that shows you what he Immigration-Services_1will do. He has consistently shown himself to be a fiscal conservative and not bowing down to every interest group that comes down the pike. He co-sponsored the bill to get the Keystone XL Pipeline going. He is also for making our country much more secure by doing E-verify, strengthening the border. etc. This is a quote from Marco Rubio regarding illegal immigration:

We also understand it is so special, unique, some people are willing to risk their lives to come here illegally. As compassionate people, we understand that reality and our heart breaks at the stories of what people are having to go through to come. But we also understand the United States of America is a sovereign country. Every single sovereign country on the planet, every single one, tries to or does control its borders and who comes into the country and who leaves. Every country in the world does that. The United States of America should not be any different.

At the end of the day, that is what this issue is about. It is that we have a sovereign right to protect our border and we have a crisis on the southern border of the United States. For many different reasons, people have chosen to cross that border illegally, consistently, for the 20 or 30 years, and the results are obvious to all of us. That is why border security is such an important part of this bill and this measure.

Rubio has shown himself to have strong character, yes he does want to fix illegal immigration in this country, but he doesn’t need to create the sort of crazed melee that Trump has. If all you want to do is change immigration then Trump is your guy but if you want to change America. If you want to make it better for everyone then you need to take a closer look at Marco Rubio.

  • 2 Carson vs. Rubio

Ben CarsonI like Ben Carson. He seems to be a nice, intelligent man. But that doesn’t make him Presidential material. Long gone are the days when a President was nothing more than a mere caretaker and didn’t really need that much political savvy in which to successfully do his job. Today a president is not just a mere figurehead as he was back in the early days of our country. Ben might one day make a great President but just not now.

On the other hand, Marco Rubio has the same character and foresightedness that draws people to Ben Carson and also has a substantial record of standing with conservative values when it comes time to voting. Some people say we need Rubio more in the legislator bracket than we do as a President because he can more effectively get bills passed as a Senator than he could as a President. That is not entirely false, he has shown himself to be both consistent and effective as a legislator and even his colleagues think highly of him. Michelle Bachmann at Politicon, when questioned about Rubio, said he was the most articulate of all the candidates. And while she thought his position on amnesty (she seemed to think he was for it) would hurt him, she also thought overall he would make a good president. (Unfortunately, I didn’t spot the outlet to plug in my computer until after she had talked about Rubio, but it was being filmed so I am sure you can find her comments somewhere.) So I am certain that as president Rubio would be able to use those strong connections he has already forged to help get bills passed, whereas Ben would have to start from scratch.

Those are the two big candidates that Rubio is going up against. Now we will look at some other reasons why Rubio should be President:

Finances:money picture

Marco already has a quite the cash flow. According to the Federal Election Committee Rubio has $8,920,928 in individual contributions. He has received no money from the GOP and as for PACs he has only taken in $204,200. So what does this tell us? It tells us that he is not beholden to PACs to get his message out. Nor to the Republican Party. It is individual people and businesses that are putting their money behind Rubio. The people behind Rubio come from all walks of life, business owners, retirees, homemakers, salespersons, etc. They all have one thing in common, they all believe in Marco Rubio and many have contributed one more than one occasion because of that belief.  That is the kind of President we need. One that everyone can believe in.

Cecile Richards

Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood

When I talked to a potential voter about Rubio, he told me that his being pro-life was going to hurt him. I told him he was wrong, that more than ever people are fast becoming pro-life and with Cecile Richards and Planned Parenthood being brought forth before Congress in order to decide whether or not to defund them, more people are starting to see the truth behind abortion and they are not liking it. According to Vote Smart Rubio has a 100 percent pro-life record. In fact, when it comes to organizations like NARAL, he has received a 0 percent rating. NARAL is the largest abortion advocacy group in America. The difference between NARAL and Planned Parenthood is that Planned Parenthood does abortions, while NARAL just advocates for them to remain legal.  Gallup recently did a poll and said more people are pro-choice than pro-life, but obviously people at Gallup are apparently idiots and cannot read their own poll. Because it read that 39 percent said abortion should be legal in a few cases (rape, incest, life of mother) and 19 percent said it should be illegal in all cases, now maybe they are doing that Common Core math but in real mathematics 36+19=55. Fifty-five percent means MOST Americans are pro-life. How did they arrive at this conclusion that more Americans are pro-choice? Because when asked 50 percent described themselves as pro-choice even though they really weren’t. Gallup took that self-described nonsense and ran with it. Yet as we can see Rubio’s strong pro-life ethic will serve him well in his Presidency.

Fiscal conservatism

Instead of typing a long dialogue, I decided to simply demonstrate Rubio’s conservative vs. liberal slant:

So as you can see Marco Rubio has the character, the ability and the fiscal common sense needed to become the next President of the United States and if we are to reclaim our glory, let’s hope he does.

Denzel, I’m Moving In

Since America is a little slow on the uptake and didn’t seem to get this the first time around when I wrote it in 2006 (It appeared on Laptop America June 12, 2006. ) I think it is time I shared it again.  Maybe with the passage of SB 1070 people are more willing to listen this time around. Let’s hope so.

If everyone was worried about their responsibilities as they are about their rights, rights would be irrelevant. ~Innervessel.com

With all the talks about rights being splashed over the news lately, especially so called immigrant rights, I have come to the conclusion that these people may have something here. So I have decided maybe I should follow suit.

This is what I am going to do – I am going to break into Denzel Washington’s place and force him to take care of me and my son. Except it won’t be breaking in per se, I will just be ‘immigrating’ to his place. You see, my apartment is really small – no bedroom. Not even a window in the living room. While Denzel lives in a nice big mansion, I am sure he has more than enough room for the both of us and me my son deserve a “better life.” So this won’t be a home invasion – nope I am doing nothing criminally wrong, I am just immigrating to a posher pad.True, I am immigrating from Crenshaw instead of Mexico or El Salvador, but what’s the diff?

And since Denzel has a far superior income, he can pay for my child’s

education, my medication, and other life necessities. But hey, I am a good sport, I’ll babysit or plant a garden and then I can talk about how deserving I am of Denzel’s wealth. I will even start putting on airs and say how Denzel really needs me more than I need him and how did he ever survive before I broke into his place? Of course, why stop there? I mean as long as Denzel is footing the bill anyway, I might as well marry him and really be entitled to his income. Besides if I get sick and I am hospitalized, I want to make sure Denzel could come and visit me. Wouldn’t you want to visit your home invader/wife in the hospital if you could? (If for no other reason then to suffocate them with a pillow?) I mean they might not let him in if he was just my employer. [Though when I was sick with cancer, I had relatives, non-relatives, former relatives and my boyfriend all converged on my room – IT WAS GREAT!!! It looked like House Party in my room. But yeah they are real sticklers about visitors!]

Not only that, there is status in being his wife, more so than in just being his nanny or gardener and not that I pay taxes, but if I did I could get a break or two. Its all about the Benjamins!

Besides, this one woman, one man nonsense is really encroaching on my ‘right’ to marry. Look as hard as you want, you won’t find a same sex marriage in the Bible, but you will find plenty that practiced polygamy, so I can just say the government is infringing on my ‘religious right’ to practice polygamy. I am sure Pauletta won’t mind sharing Denzel and if she does – tough – I mean it is MY RIGHT to marry who I want and I want to marry Denzel. Granted, I will be messing up his five kids lives, but that is really not my concern – my concern is only for me and Adonai. I need a husband, Adonai needs a father and it is time I start enforcing my rights.

Now do the above scenarios sound as outlandish to you as they do to me (and I am sure Denzel doesn’t like the sound of it either)? Yet, these same arguments are used everyday in the immigration and gay rights movement. They claim to have these rights that no one else has. The illegals claim they have a right to come to our country, break our laws and “make a better life for themselves” at our expense. The gays claim they have a right to redefine marriage in a way that most pleases them and everyone else can take a flying leap. Yet if you look at the marriage argument it is all about what monetary benefits they can get out of it, not about dedicating their life to one person, being faithful and raising a family.

Of course, if I did try my ‘immigration’ plan I would spend the next twenty years in Sybil Brand. That is if Denzel didn’t kill this psychotic woman who broke into his house and demanded her own version of ‘amnesty’ while simultaneously enforcing her ‘right to marry.’ Of course, if Denzel didn’t do it, I am sure Pauletta would. These two movements have to be the two worst ones in the course of human history. They are based on nothing but selfish demands and greed. Denzel owes me a “better life” the way the US owes the rest of the world one. Denzel owes me a marriage the way we owe gays one. These movements are not based on bettering society but bettering their own wallets. It is not about contributing positively to society but furthering their own narcissitic agenda. It is about trying to silence their opposition. It is about stamping out freedom. It is not about democracy but blatant socialism. Socialism has been the cause for more deaths and more ruined lives than capitalism could ever attempt to destroy.

Just like Denzel, Pauletta and their children don’t deserve to be held hostage by my insane immigration scenario and neither do the rest of us. You can’t tell me that if I broke in Denzel’s house he would be, “Sure Dena, you and Adonai can stay as long as you want, in fact, why don’t you move your entire family in – we don’t mind.” Okay, maybe after his lobotomy or some serious stroke he might be open to me taking over his house, but otherwise I just don’t see that happening. Yet we are supposed to be so accomodating as to allow crimnals free reign – that makes no sense. It goes against human nature, first of all. You protect your own. It is completely unnatural to allow others to harm you and WELCOME IT! When did we become a nation of sadists?

The more we succumb to these two particular movements the worse off we get.

Imagine, if after I took over Denzel’s place, I forbid him and his family to ever discuss what I had done in anything but rosy terms. If they talked about my behavior in any sort of derogatory terms I would lock them in a closet for days on end. Well, that describes hate crime legislation in a nutshell. It penalizes peoople for telling the truth about homosexuality. The gay movement wants unfettered freedom to do whatever they want but they want to make sure our freedom is severely restricted. It is about bringing society down to their gutter level.

Denzel deserves a life of happiness and so do I but I don’t get to force my idea of happiness for me on him and make him suffer the consequences for it. Trust me, if I am ever in Denzel’s house someday it is because we met, had a great conversation and he invited me over. You know the way we do with legal immigrants. And the only way I will ever be his “wife” is by playing such a role in one of his movies. Not by judicial activism and forcing my views of marriage onto him and the rest of society.

In closing, if these two groups weren’t so dastardly and bent on destroying the last fabric of morality in this country – they would be the two most pathetic movements to ever take form. Pathetic or not, we need to stand up to them and let them know if they really want to take us on, they better watch out because they are going to lose!

Tom McClintock’s Response to President Calderon

You tell them Tom McClintock! It is about time someone stood up to these Leftists who want to tear down America and told Mexico’s President exactly what he could with his “dialogue” about our laws. Dude, when we stop caring for your people, when we stop educating them, feeding them, housing them, providing them with medical care, when you start taking of your own then  maybe you won’t be such a joke and will be listened to! People are fleeing your country to come over here, don’t you dare sit there and tell us how to handle it once it crosses our borders! Especially many of YOUR criminals are victimizing OUR people! You have no right to stand here and debate American laws when you can’t even keep your own people in YOUR OWN country!  Tom McClintock was way nicer than I would have been President Calderon!

Back They Go!

Back They Go!

I love this cartoon! Mostly because this is what most conservatives talk about when discussing ending illegal immigration.  It is called attrition. You don’t need to round every illegal up, you just make it hard on them to gain employment, education, housing and they will go back on their own accord.  Nothing is wrong with immigrating to the United States, just do it legally. If you can raise 5,000 dollars to pay a mule, you can come up with the funds to pay the fees to become a legal resident.  America doesn’t owe the world a better life.  Make a better life where you are and if your government is some corrupt political machine-well guess what it is over here too! The illegals don’t think it is because it is corrupt in their favor, not the American citizen’s.

By not allowing any illegal immigrant, whether they be from Mexico, Canada or Timbuktu, access to employment, education or housing, we simply uphold the laws we already have on our books, we don’t need to hire additional law enforcement but rather have INS and local authorities do their job they should be doing already and we can eliminate the motivation to enter the United States illegally. If they know there is really nothing waiting here unless they go through proper channels they will be more willing to go through proper channels.  It definitely is worth a try and it is time we hold businesses and law enforcement responsible for cleaning up the mess they have made.

Dr. King: A Legacy Divided

With the Tea Party coming up on Wednesday and the ever disgraceful invader’s amnesty rally coming up on May 1st, both sides of the political spectrum are using Dr. King to further their cause.  However, which side does Dr. King represent the best and is closer to the truth of who the man was?

Many might say well like the invaders (oops illegal immigrants) Dr. Kingdr-king fought for full citizenship within America.  There is a difference though- DR. KING WAS A CITIZEN!!!! He had no time entered this country illegally, gotten a false social security card and applied for government benefits with his false identity!  Dr. King was simply asking to be treated like the citizen he already was! For instance, the 13th amendment ended slavery and the 15th made it legal for us to vote. Therefore, what was going on during King’s time had already been clarified within the Constitution-specifically-and yet they were ignoring the Constitution and barring Blacks from voting.  King was fighting for a right that had already been granted him!  Since illegals are not citizens of this country they are not entitled to any rights under the Constitution! However, the Tea Party people are also fighting for rights AS CITIZENS that they have already been granted. They are not asking for money or benefits.  In fact,  many cities and states are rejecting the stimulus money from Obama because it comes with too big a price tag! They are tellingthe government they need to reel in this out of control spending.  So the Tea Party movement is more like King in this instance.  Tea Party-1,  Illegals-0.

scales-of-justiceThe invaders movement says that King ignored unjust laws and used civil disobedience.  King at no time broke federal laws.  The laws about public access for Blacks were localized laws.  He never committed fraud in the name of obtaining the American dream.  Not only that King was willing to sit in jail and suffer the consequences of breaking the law.  The invaders aren’t! They think they should be able to break them and not be held accountable for breaking them. King always went quietly when he was arrested.  He used his time wisely in jail, penning “A Letter from the Birmingham Jail.”  Not “A Letter from the Birmingham Penthouse.”  He had been stabbed, had police dogs unleashed on him, had fire hoses turned on him, has his house firebombed, and yet he continued to go and press on. Show me one invader activist who has gone through those trials? Just one! In fact, just by being here the invaders are already breaking the law. The Tea Party people are not.  When permits are  pulled, they find another place.  They are doing everything by the book but are using their first amendment right to redress the government about its irresponsible behavior.  Score-Tea Party-2, Illegals-0.

A last ditch effort at trying to equate King to them is inevitably the race malcolm-xcard. Well, King was Black he understood what it is like to be a minority in this country.  Yea…..and?  The thing about the Tea Party movement is that it crosses all lines,  all colors, all economic classes, all parties. Everyone is fed up with the government taxing the people into oblivion until our grandchildren’s grandchildren still won’t be able to pay it off! The invaders are limited in their scope, only illegal Mexicans.  While the Tea Party wants everyone, no matter what their color, what their sex, what their religion, what their “sexual orientation,” we embrace anyone who wants their voice to be heard on Capitol Hill.  King was about embracing everyone,   Jew and Gentile, Black and White and wanted everyone to have the same freedoms. He also wanted the government to stand acountable to the people.  King was a Republican and if alive today, I believe he would stand more with the Tea Party and their ideas of limited government, personal responsibility and freedom to worship God as you see fit.  While having compassion for the immigrant, he sure wouldn’t approve of their tactics.  He didn’t approve of Malcolm X’s by any means necessary ideology and I don’t believe he would approve of the invader’s use of it  either. He felt the violent militancy of Malcolm did more to harm our cause then to help it, I can’t see him changing his view about that today.  Score: Tea Party-3   Illegals-0

So there you go,  King’s legacy doesn’t live on in the rabble of the invaders movement but in the thoughtful, rightful protest of the citizens of this land. It lives on in the Tea Party movement.  It lives on at Smart Girl Politics,  A Black Conservative Digest and other grass roots efforts to get this country back to its conservative roots.  One last thought, when King was alive 60 percent of Black children were raised in two parent homes. Nowadays 60 percent of Black children are slaughtered in the womb! Is this really the progress King stood for? I think not! King’s Dream lives in the heart of all conservatives and it is being slaughtered by the liberal establishment, it is time we all woke up because his dream is fast becoming a nightmare.

Michael Steele 1st Black RNC National Chairman

Michael Steele has been named the first Black to be named a national RNC Chairman.   While I think  it is great that Michael has been elected for this position, I still don’t know enough about him to really endorse his candidacy.  Is  he pro-life? For me, there is really no question I need answered beyond that.  But to be pro life means you can’t be for killing children in certain instances.   For often you get the rape/incest argument to aborting a child. Like somehow it is the child’s fault that his father is a whackjob rapist.  You can’ t be for killing the life of a child to “save the mother’s life.” Which is nothing but a smokescreen anyway. As a doctor you try to save both lives, if the child should die during your attempt to save both, that is a tragedy. But you don’t deliberately take its life because it is easier for you to do so. Basically, to call yourself pro-life you have to stand for life with no exceptions.  Anything else is Pro-choice Lite.

Next thing that is of vital importance is illegal immigration. Where does he stand on amnesty?  To me, amnesty is an insult to every immigrant that followed the rules and entered this country legally. It says if you break the law long enough, you will eventually be rewarded. Now I am no Girl Scout and back in the day I found myself on the wrong side of the law, but I never got rewarded for it. And I am certainly not going to justify my behavior by trying to make it seem noble or good.  I was wrong then and these people are wrong now.

I wonder about Michael’s positions because Yahoo said he was the most moderate of all conservatives. And there is nothing more dangerous than a moderate.  Moderates are not peacemakers as they like to think they are, they are cowards.  They are opportunists whose own opinions are based on polls and not on convictions and therefore will only stand what is right as long as it is fashionable to do so.  Heck, if enough voters  starting telling Obama abortion and gay marriage were immoral and wrong,  he would be the most conservative president we have ever  had, just because it would behoove him to be so.   So I am really hoping  Yahoo is wrong and that Michael is not a moderate.

So until I know more, I will simply say, “Congratulations Michael.  Let’s lead this country back to the values it was founded on.  God bless you and may your leadership help Blacks return to the party that once freed us from slavery. May it now free us from the scourge of socialism which threatens our very liberty.  And one more thing Michael to keep in mind. We are the party of the mighty and majestic elephant, that means we never forget. LOL. So Good luck. “
