Doctor My Heart Part 2

She stood at the altar all dressed in white, the white gown beautifully contrasting her chocolate skin. He stood beside her, his white tuxedo made him seem almost angelic. They turned and looked at each other. His gaze penetrated her soul. She seemed almost unable to breathe. He took her hands and gently pulled her close to him. She was almost touching his body. Their gaze didn’t break, it was held in place by the love that exuded from them.

She turned for only a moment. She heard the minister begin to speak. It was Jesus! No, it couldn’t be Jesus, it had to be someone who just looked like Jesus. As she continued to hear him speak, she was certain it was Jesus and not his look-alike. Jesus was marrying them. Maybe it was a dream. It didn’t feel like a dream. It felt real. She could feel his soft and gentle hands on hers.

“So are you ready?” Dr. Kashani asked.

“Ready for what?” Desiree asked very nervously.

“To marry me, silly. Jesus, our Lord and Saviour has consented to marry us.”

“But you are Jewish. You don’t believe he is our Lord and Saviour.”

“I didn’t down there on Earth, that is true. But this is Heaven and only an idiot wouldn’t believe.He is who has always said he is. I believe. So are you ready?”

“But your wife, you had a wife down there.”

“I did. Now she is married to someone else up here. Her true love. And I am about to marry my true love if she will finally consent.”

“Of course, I will marry you. I just wanted to make sure I could.”

“The fact that Jesus is marrying us should be a clue, it was okay. But I understand.” Dr. Kashani said as he laughed.

They embraced and she just wanted to hold him for all time and eternity. Then she remembered she was marrying her true love in heaven, she would be able to hold him for all time and eternity. Before either of them could let go a strong gust of wind began to pull them apart. For the first time since she had known Dr. Kashani she referred to him his first name, screaming it with all the ferocity of an angry lion, she hollered, “CAMERON!!!!

“DESIREE!!!!!! HOLD ON!!!!! DON’T LET GO!!!!” Dr. Kashani yelled. He couldn’t lose her now. They just had found each other again. He had spent his whole life keeping his feelings about Desiree at bay. Now for once, he was able to be free with how much he loved this woman. The wind was too strong and they couldn’t hold on to each other.

CAAAAAAAAAAA MMMMMMMMMMERRRRROOOOOONNNNNNNN!!!!”Desiree yelled as her hands slipped away.

Just then she began writhing in her bed. Dr. Kashani wasn’t sure that she wasn’t having a seizure. She then let out a piercing howl, “CAAAAAAAMMMMMMERRRRROOOOONNNNN! Come back to me Cameron!” Her eyes immediately opened. Dr. Kashani was right beside her. He hadn’t left her side since she went into a coma a week ago after hearing about her brother. He began talking to her, “I am right here, Desiree. It is going to be okay. Let me go get the doctor.”

“No!!!!” she told him, still in a daze from the day. She then took him and kissed him. It took a second or two but he pushed her away.

“What was that?”

“Oh my goodness. I am so sorry. Where am I?” she asked. She was very embarrassed  by the kiss.

“You are in the hospital. You have been in a coma since hearing about your brother.”

“How is he????? Please tell me he is okay. I can’t lose my other brother. I just can’t!”

“He is fine. Lorraine is there with him. We made a deal she would keep an eye on him and I would keep an eye on you. He is getting released today. So what was that kiss for?”

“I’m sorry. I guess I was dreaming. We were in heaven and we were about to get married. Then I got pulled away from you. We were screaming for each other and trying to hold on. I guess when I saw you, I thought you were Cameron, not Dr. Kashani.”

“What does that mean?” he asked her.

“I mean up in heaven you were my true love, Cameron. Down here you are my married doctor. I just got the perfect fantasy of you mixed up with the reality. Please forgive me.”

“I forgive you. Of course, you know that can never happen again.”

“I know. I am sorry. Please don’t tell your wife what a fool I was.”

“It will be our secret,” he told her. He then leaned over and hugged her. As he hugged her he thought to himself, ‘maybe one day that fantasy will be the reality. I can never tell you this Desiree, but I do love you.’                                                                                                                                            

As he pulled away, sadness overtook him. Now that she was okay she would be going to D.C. He was going to lose her anyway. He had spent more time with her here,  while she was in a coma, then even at home this past week. He bent down and kissed her on the forehead.

“Since you gave me a kiss, I figured I would give you one. Now we are even. Let me go get the doctor.”

Desiree just smiled as he left the room.

Gay Couple Reunite!

Okay I am not going to go on about how homosexuality is wrong because all of you know how I feel about that. I think it is dangerous and leads to the death of too many fine people who shorten their lives due to their sexual practices. Okay with that said, I am going to focus on the immigration aspect of this case.

Tim Coco and Genesio Oliveira married in 2005, among the throngs who wed after same-sex marriage became legal in Massachusetts. But for nearly three years, they lived apart — Coco in Haverhill and Oliveira in his native Brazil — because federal law does not recognize their union.

Okay so they are “married.”  Their union isn’t recognized by federal law. So what do they do? Does Oliveira give the U.S the finger and sneak in anyway? Does he falsify papers and pay a mule to get him into America? No, he does not! What does he do? Okay it is about to get crazy up in here! HE FOLLOWS THE LAW!!!! Oh my goodness, I can’t believe it! He actually follows the law?  You have got to be kidding me! Okay let me rest my heart can’t take this!

He has been granted a temporary stay in America. He has one year and he is going to use that year to gain legal residency. Oh my goodness, he is following the law again!  Will wonders never cease? He is actually going to use this opportunity to become…wait for it….A LEGAL RESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!!  So you know what I say to Genesio Oliveira? WELCOME TO AMERICA!!! Thank you for playing by the rules. You spent a lot of your money to enter this country legally. The law wasn’t on your side but you found a way to work within the law to achieve your results. That is how immigration is done folks! I have nothing but respect for Genesio because he has shown my country and my people respect by working within our legal system to obtain his goal of being with his partner.  Sure we will probably be duking it out over gay marriage later on, but in the meantime, thank you Genesio for being a man of honor and treating my country with the respect it deserves.  Now how’s that for a homophobe?

Denzel, I’m Moving In

Since America is a little slow on the uptake and didn’t seem to get this the first time around when I wrote it in 2006 (It appeared on Laptop America June 12, 2006. ) I think it is time I shared it again.  Maybe with the passage of SB 1070 people are more willing to listen this time around. Let’s hope so.

With all the talks about rights being splashed over the news lately, especially so called immigrant rights, I have come to the conclusion that these people may have something here. So I have decided maybe I should follow suit.

This is what I am going to do – I am going to break into Denzel Washington’s place and force him to take care of me and my son. Except it won’t be breaking in per se, I will just be ‘immigrating’ to his place. You see, my apartment is really small – no bedroom. Not even a window in the living room. While Denzel lives in a nice big mansion, I am sure he has more than enough room for the both of us and me my son deserve a “better life.” So this won’t be a home invasion – nope I am doing nothing criminally wrong, I am just immigrating to a posher pad.True, I am immigrating from Crenshaw instead of Mexico or El Salvador, but what’s the diff?

And since Denzel has a far superior income, he can pay for my child’s 

education, my medication, and other life necessities. But hey, I am a good sport, I’ll babysit or plant a garden and then I can talk about how deserving I am of Denzel’s wealth. I will even start putting on airs and say how Denzel really needs me more than I need him and how did he ever survive before I broke into his place? Of course, why stop there? I mean as long as Denzel is footing the bill anyway, I might as well marry him and really be entitled to his income. Besides if I get sick and I am hospitalized, I want to make sure Denzel could come and visit me. Wouldn’t you want to visit your home invader/wife in the hospital if you could? (If for no other reason then to suffocate them with a pillow?) I mean they might not let him in if he was just my employer. [Though when I was sick with cancer, I had relatives, non-relatives, former relatives and my boyfriend all converged on my room – IT WAS GREAT!!! It looked like House Party in my room. But yeah they are real sticklers about visitors!]

Not only that, there is status in being his wife, more so than in just being his nanny or gardener and not that I pay taxes, but if I did I could get a break or two. Its all about the Benjamins!

Besides, this one woman, one man nonsense is really encroaching on my ‘right’ to marry. Look as hard as you want, you won’t find a same sex marriage in the Bible, but you will find plenty that practiced polygamy, so I can just say the government is infringing on my ‘religious right’ to practice polygamy. I am sure Pauletta won’t mind sharing Denzel and if she does – tough – I mean it is MY RIGHT to marry who I want and I want to marry Denzel. Granted, I will be messing up his five kids lives, but that is really not my concern – my concern is only for me and Adonai. I need a husband, Adonai needs a father and it is time I start enforcing my rights.

Now do the above scenarios sound as outlandish to you as they do to me (and I am sure Denzel doesn’t like the sound of it either)? Yet, these same arguments are used everyday in the immigration and gay rights movement. They claim to have these rights that no one else has. The illegals claim they have a right to come to our country, break our laws and “make a better life for themselves” at our expense. The gays claim they have a right to redefine marriage in a way that most pleases them and everyone else can take a flying leap. Yet if you look at the marriage argument it is all about what monetary benefits they can get out of it, not about dedicating their life to one person, being faithful and raising a family.

Of course, if I did try my ‘immigration’ plan I would spend the next twenty years in Sybil Brand. That is if Denzel didn’t kill this psychotic woman who broke into his house and demanded her own version of ‘amnesty’ while simultaneously enforcing her ‘right to marry.’ Of course, if Denzel didn’t do it, I am sure Pauletta would. These two movements have to be the two worst ones in the course of human history. They are based on nothing but selfish demands and greed. Denzel owes me a “better life” the way the US owes the rest of the world one. Denzel owes me a marriage the way we owe gays one. These movements are not based on bettering society but bettering their own wallets. It is not about contributing positively to society but furthering their own narcissitic agenda. It is about trying to silence their opposition. It is about stamping out freedom. It is not about democracy but blatant socialism. Socialism has been the cause for more deaths and more ruined lives than capitalism could ever attempt to destroy.

Just like Denzel, Pauletta and their children don’t deserve to be held hostage by my insane immigration scenario and neither do the rest of us. You can’t tell me that if I broke in Denzel’s house he would be, “Sure Dena, you and Adonai can stay as long as you want, in fact, why don’t you move your entire family in – we don’t mind.” Okay, maybe after his lobotomy or some serious stroke he might be open to me taking over his house, but otherwise I just don’t see that happening. Yet we are supposed to be so accomodating as to allow crimnals free reign – that makes no sense. It goes against human nature, first of all. You protect your own. It is completely unnatural to allow others to harm you and WELCOME IT! When did we become a nation of sadists?

The more we succumb to these two particular movements the worse off we get.

Imagine, if after I took over Denzel’s place, I forbid him and his family to ever discuss what I had done in anything but rosy terms. If they talked about my behavior in any sort of derogatory terms I would lock them in a closet for days on end. Well, that describes hate crime legislation in a nutshell. It penalizes peoople for telling the truth about homosexuality. The gay movement wants unfettered freedom to do whatever they want but they want to make sure our freedom is severely restricted. It is about bringing society down to their gutter level.

Denzel deserves a life of happiness and so do I but I don’t get to force my idea of happiness for me on him and make him suffer the consequences for it. Trust me, if I am ever in Denzel’s house someday it is because we met, had a great conversation and he invited me over. You know the way we do with legal immigrants. And the only way I will ever be his “wife” is by playing such a role in one of his movies. Not by judicial activism and forcing my views of marriage onto him and the rest of society.

In closing, if these two groups weren’t so dastardly and bent on destroying the last fabric of morality in this country – they would be the two most pathetic movements to ever take form. Pathetic or not, we need to stand up to them and let them know if they really want to take us on, they better watch out because they are going to lose!

We Don’t Need Support-We Need A Man

There is a young, Black conservative named Afrocity Brown who has her own blog and who I am a Facebook friend of, she posed a question the other day, “Are mothers more necessary than fathers to children?” Everyone overwhelmingly said that both mothers and fathers are necessary to bring up a child right. Of course, there is always one in the crowd who had to spout off about how gays and lesbians are just wonderful parents and all single mothers need is some support and their children will be just fine. Well this is my response to her!

Support? I don’t need support, my son doesn’t need support, what we need is a husband, a father. We need someone who is going to be there 24/7/365 days a year. We need someone who is in the trenches with us, who has our backs, who will walk across the ends of the Earth to save us. We need a protector, a provider, a man of God, not support. I don’t want a “male role model” for my son-I want a Dad! I want someone who rushes home to play ball with him before it gets dark. Someone who gets the whole “What can I pretend to blow up today?” thing. I need someone who speaks his language also known as “6 year old boytalk” because I am terribly deficient in that area! I need someone to tell me when I need to back off and someone to whip his butt when he gets out of line. I need that voice, that manly, authoritative voice that every child on Earth responds to, especially rebellious little boys! I need a man, a real man, not someone who shows up occasionally. Not someone who will spend time with him when they can fit it in their schedule. Not some second rate father figure but a real, honest to goodness, father!

As for me, I need a husband. Not a boyfriend, not a companion but a husband. I need a man who will lift me up when I am spiraling downward. I need a husband who thinks that the sun rises and sets in my eyes, a man who laughs at my jokes and makes me laugh. A man who thinks the best spot on Earth is in my arms. I need a man who loves me, loves God and Jesus Christ, who will drag me to church when I don’t want to go. I need a man who will keep me on my toes and who is a little bit smarter than me but never makes me feel dumb. I need a man who will pitch in and help me raise my son according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I need a man who wants to spend time and all eternity with me…yes ME!!!! Support? No, I don’t need the occasional support, I need devotion, commitment and unending love. I need anything but support. I got bras for support. I need a man!

America’s Eulogy

While I am by no means willing to give up on America! While “doctors” like me known as patriots continue to fight for the life of this nation, while we continue to try to infuse her with life saving blood known as sacrifice and liberty, while we search our “medical books” known as the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, there is still a chance she may die. There is a chance Lady Liberty won’t live to see another generation raised under her guiding light. So as a “doctor” I have to make that long, pitiful, sorrowful walk down to the waiting room, where the “family” known as Americans,  is waiting and tell them, “She might not make it people. You might want to get her affairs in order.”  Should America die this would be my eulogy.

America was actually born July 2, 1776 in Philadelphia, Pennyslyvania. She had many a father-George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and many a mother too-Betsy Ross, Susan B. Anthony, Sojourner Truth and Harriet Tubman. Each of them helping to form her in younger years.  She came into this world, a bloody mess, others laying down their lives so she could live.  She was so highly prized that another “mother”- England- who is commonly known as the motherland, tried to keep her for herself.  However, England lost and had to relinquish custody of her beloved America.

America grew up and became prosperous in her life.  People adored her. She accomplished much in the name of science, arts, industry and education. Her children known simply as Americans were the smartest, the wealthiest, the most productive and the most God fearing people on the planet.  One of her sons gave us the Bill of Rights-his name was Patrick Henry. One of her daughters would become an astronaut, her name is Mae Jamison. She bled and cried out for the freedom of her Black children and she won that! She believed what Thomas Jefferson wrote in the Declaration of Independence that all men are created equal.  She was unrelenting, she wouldn’t give up until all her children were free.

Yet the more children she had, the more prosperous they became, the more they forgot their mother.  Then one day, it happened-a great evil befell her.  Liberalism invaded her body. Liberalism is insidious, it gets into the blood of its host and destroys it from the inside out. America didn’t even know how it caught this bug.  Liberalism used America’s love for freedom, truth and justice and corrupted it. Her courts refused to rule by constitutional standards and began politicizing all its decisions. Her Congress once of great moral fiber, began to deteriorate and become incompetent and corrupt.  Her Presidents who would never think of breaching the Constitution would do so before breakfast most days.

She tried to fight off the liberalism, but they were strong and were not letting go. Even when given medicine-conservatism-it never lasted long enough to make a difference. Liberalism kept coming back.  It overtook her until every value she held was smashed. They all but eliminated religious liberty,  leaving  just enough churches open to make it seem like we had religious liberty when the truth is, it got muzzled by LBJ. Free speech turned into hate speech and every constitutional protection was whittled away. She watched in horror as her children fought for the right to kill her other children.  It was called abortion though in truth its name is genocide. She became anguished as perverse sexual practices were revered. She felt hopeless as she saw marriage being torn apart.  What was happening? She became confused and pretty soon she didn’t recognize herself at all.  Then on November 4, 2008 she was hit hard. The liberals had secured the Presidency and both Houses.  Even the courts were becoming more liberal.  With the election of Obama, Pelosi leading the House and Sotomayor being confirmed to the Court, the liberals had a tight stranglehold on her.  Though she was able to raise her level of conservatism, it was too late-she was dead.  America though once rich, would leave behind a trillion dollar deficit, illiteracy, government waste and the continued oppression of her people through “government aid” otherwise known as socialism.  She was a great lady, may she rest in peace.

Jeane Robertson’s Comedy

In recent years most comedy has been vulgar and demeaning. No matter if it was a man or a woman, you could be certain to hear the most vile and crass things ever uttered out of the mouths of a comedians.  As a stand up comedian myself, I have often wanted to do my comedy in a place where “clean” comics worked. No such luck. Through the years we have occasionally gotten a Bill Cosby, a Steve Martin and my favorite a Jeff Cesario (he was big on Comic Strip Live back in the day-see if you can find any of his clips, he is a riot!) but such talents were few and far between. Enter Jeane Robertson.  Jeane Robertson is a breath of fresh air. She is not a twenty something, cheerleader/airhead whose only life experience is being a rock n roll groupie. She is a classy, elegant woman and wife who speaks to her audience with respect. We need mor Jeane Robertsons.

I Am Your Warning: My Socialist Life

While people are up in arms about the impending socialism starting to take over our country and while it is some foreign abstract concept for them, it is my reality. I know all too well what happens when government runs your life. What you have to give up, what dreams you deny. My life started out normal enough. I was born to a drug addicted mother and was put up for adoption. I was given to the Leichnitzes. They were a loving family with three children of their own and yet they had enough love for me to take me in and make me their own. Like many children of my time, they divorced and when I was fourteen my father was killed by a drunk driver. And so began my long journey into freedom denied, into a life I would never escape.

I attempted suicide because the grief of losing my dad was too much and I was immediately locked up. I would not get out until I was 21 years old. I was put into juvenile placements while my father’s murderer walked around a free man. I was doing his time! I was told when to get up, go to bed, when to eat. I was a teenage girl and should’ve been going to dances and dating but of course any contact with the opposite sex was strictly forbidden. I was watched 24 hours a day when I walked in that place with my vomit stained nightshirt from the suicide attempt (I had overdosed on my seizure medication), even when going to the bathroom or showering, I had to be watched. I was not allowed passes to see my family because my insurance wouldn’t pay for it. So on special occasions they would write a pass for me anyway and tear it up when I got back. I have been restrained, given medication to sedate me and put into a “seclusion room” which is just a rubber room. I have had six men restrain me (even at 122 pounds I was a strong and rambunctious girl) and I have been talked to death in therapy. I have had rooms with a private bath and have had to shower with a gang of girls. I have slept on hard metal beds all in a row and eaten food you wouldn’t feed to dog. I have seen the boy I love been taken away in chains and shackles like he was a wild animal. He was taken to CYA (California Youth Authority, which is prison for kids) while I stood there crying. He cried too. I have seen people drug by their hair and bruises on their arms from getting too much Thorazine. I lost my adolescence because the state knew better.

During these years I created my own family since mine was being denied to me. The boy who was taken away was my “husband” and we had two “daughters.” I loved those girls and whenever they needed someone to talk to I was there. You can’t deny the need for family because it is just too ingrained. And if we couldn’t have our Moms and Dads well we would just have to be them for ourselves. I have been a “little sister” and a “big sister” and I have had more surrogate mothers than I can shake a stick at. This is how the state “raises” its young. Be afraid, be very afraid.

As an adult I grew up and I was finally able to get myself on SSI. I needed that because they would pay for my meds. However that meant, never making enough to be self-reliant for if I did I could lose my Medi-Cal and that meant paying for my own meds which were terribly expensive. Still I have worked. I worked for LAUSD, where I wasn’t allowed to work full time because they didn’t want to give Instructional Aides any benefits. We paid union dues to the teacher’s union but never once got any benefit for them. I worked for LAUSD for four years. I did all the work of the teacher but never got paid like one. I have worked for places like Beyond Shelter and Shelter Partnership, which helped the homeless. I have done receptionist work, data entry and have even gotten paid to write. But always I made sure to stay below the radar. I needed those meds. So what did I give up to make sure I had my meds-a husband. I fell in love with a great man when I was 21. We wanted to get married but it meant each of us losing half our benefits. We were already living hand to mouth, we couldn’t afford to live on just one check. So we had a “holy union.” We ended up breaking up four years later. Once a year I get letters from the government asking about income status and changes in family status. Each letter strikes fear in my heart. Will they deny me? I had been denied once. Maybe they will do it again? What will happen if they do? I am going back to school so I can be self-reliant. Before I didn’t have God, now I do. I know he will provide for me. He always has.

But this is your life on socialism people. It is a life that is not yours. A life where any control you have is limited. It is a life where other people call the shots and not only do you obey, you thank them for it. It is a life where decisions like who to marry and when are taken from you. It is a life of emptiness. It is a life without fathers, a life without husbands, and a life without families. It is a life of lies. Lies like “I don’t need a man.” Lies like, “Only suckers work.” It is a life so far removed from God and anything righteous that you wonder if He can even see you. Does he know how badly you want your own life back? Does He know how badly you need your dignity? This is your warning. I am fighting against socialism because I have lived it. It is not some concept I heard about in an economics class. It is not something I read about in a history book. I have lived it and I have realized I deserve better. So I am going to work towards being the best person I can be and I can’t do that in my socialistic existence. I must rise above it! I must achieve greatness because my son needs to know whatever he sets his mind to he can achieve and I am going to be that example for him! So while many of you are fighting against welfare, taxes and for more money. I am fighting for liberty! I am fighting for my right to exist! And while I thank the American taxpayer for saving my hide on more than one occasion, I must make my own way. I am forever indebted to the generous and benevolent taxpayer but I will always despise the government that took so much from me. You have been forewarned. Now go out and fight for the liberty of all your brothers and sisters stuck in this socialistic nightmare.

Oh My Goodness! I’m a Hippie!

Some realizations are just more painful then others. This is one of those, I was joking at SGP that my son is going to grow up and tell people,  “Yeah all my family did growing up was protest the government.  It was like we were hippies but with morals.”  After that little realization hit me I sat down and wrote this piece. I hope it makes those wacky, Leftists who are calling us racists and threats to national security remember what it was like when it was their side being called that. And I hope it makes them stop, take a pause and for once in their life, actually do the right thing! Enjoy the reading!          ~Dena

As you think back on the sixties (at least from what I have been told and read, I wasn’t there. LOL) and what described the “hippie” movement we are doing the same thing today but with a greater purpose-to restore God and country. But let’s look at some things we have in common with the hippies of yesterday.

1) Pretty much started the homeschooling movement. Didn’t want their kids learning all that imperialistic garbage. You know things like how to bathe or the importance of having a job. And who homeschools today? Conservative Christians who don’t want their kids learning all that environmental garbage. You know things like light bulbs make the sun hotter or killing babies is good for Mother Earth.

2) Held protests about the government. Back then it was to get out us of Viet Nam, make slaughtering the unborn legal and free STDs for everybody! Now with the Tea Party movement we have protests about the government, but this time it is to get us out of debt. To stem illegal immigration which is taking jobs from Americans and to uphold the law of the land, not to bend it, not to abolish it but to live by the Constitution and the principles it espouses.

3) Had their own music. From Jimi Hendrix to Bob Dylan, the music reflected what was going on with their anti-government scene. Nowadays it is country music that most reflects the conservative values in this country. Not every conservative listens to country music, but by and large the biggest fans of country music are conservatives. From Toby Keith to Trace Adkins, we revere the people who also revere our land.

4) Were counter-culture. The hippies were the counter-culture movement of their time. Working to bring about some of the most detrimental changes to our society. Espousing radical feminism which vilified husbands and children. Promoting dangerous alternative sexual identities and practices and becoming awash in hedonism. Now who is counter-culture? We are! As we work to bring God back to America, to allow women the opportunity to have children and stay home with them without feeling like a failure. We are working for the betterment of society by embracing traditional mores that lead us to greatness in the first place.  We are working to eliminate abortion but helping those with crisis pregnancies, solidifying marriage as between one man and one woman and not this anything goes mentality, making sure children have decent schools instead of the failing public schools we have today. These are the counter-culture’s objectives today.

5) Despised mainstream society and media so they built their own. Whether it was a pamphlet or a record company, the hippies of yesterday built their own media since they couldn’t depend on mainstream media to tell their side. Yet those hippie entrepreneurs of yesterday are now media moguls of today and today it is our side that cannot be told. It is the conservative movement that really has grabbed a hold of blogging online, Twitter and social networks like A Black Conservative Digest and others to get their stories out. The internet is fast catching up with the more traditional forms of communication (tv, radio, newspapers, etc) as where people turn to get their information. In 1994 only 2 percent of people got their news from the internet and by 2004 that figure had risen to 29 percent. Other forms of communication have dropped. In fact, television went from 72 percent to 60 percent during that same time (Trends, 2005, Washington DC: Pew Research Center, 2004, pp 42, 44-45) Conservatives absolutely despise how liberalism has become mainstream and doing what they can to stem the tide and bring society back into alignment with what is right and not just what “feels” right.

So there you have it! We are the new hippies. Maybe we need to come up with a new word. Instead of hippies we could be the chippies! Nah, let’s just stick with the Right, because after all, we are! But isn’t if funny the same things they fought for (homeschooling, the rights of parents to raise their children without government interference, to hold the government more accountable to the people, etc.) are now the same things we are fighting for and they are against. We’re the nutjobs now! But remember just a generation ago, you were fighting for the same thing-what happened? Oh I know you must’ve forgotten from all that LSD and pot you did. Never mind.

Stahling the Legislature

There is a special election in California on May 19, 2009! Make sure you get out and vote. Most of the propositions on the ballot deal with budgetary issues. One issue that is on the ballot is 1F. It says the Legislature forgoes pay raises in the year that there is a budget deficit. I think that is only logical. If everyone else is hurting they shouldn’t be getting raises on the backs of their constituents. The only person who turned in a con to that measure is a guy named Pete Stahl of Pete Rates the Propositions.

This is the kind of nonsense he is spewing (makes me wonder if he is getting some kind of kickback from the Legislature to oppose it) How is this for horse manure?

“Regardless of party members of the Legislature are deeply caring, diligent, patriotic people who truly love the communities they represent and serve.”

Oh give me break! Most politicians are sneaky, greedy, backstabbing people! That is why they get into politics! Once in a blue moon, a Sarah Palin comes along but for the most part we are dealing with weasels-not noble statesmen!

Then there is this gem:  “Freezing salaries will not loosen politicians commitment to their ideologies. You cannot get conservative legislators to support tax increases just by threatening to cancel their raises. Similarly liberal legislators will never agree to cuts in social programs just to increase their pay!”

What planet is this man on? Of course people will do whatever they can to get more money! How many times have our “conservative” politicians failed us just because it served them to do so? They weren’t thinking about us, they were thinking about re-election or how they will be perceived but certainly not their ideologies. Eddie Murphy’s “Distinguished Gentlemen” showed how easy it is to play both sides of the field. The lobbyist throw money at the politicians left and right (pardon the pun) , so if you want to come down in favor of gun control-you have special interest on that side that will pay you. If you want to come down in favor the second amendment-well there are plenty of groups that will pay you to vote for their side. So don’t insult our intelligence by telling us that money will not affect how a politician votes-of course it does!

Lastly there is this inane statement:  The current salary for nearly all legislators is $116,208. In most of California that is solidly middle class compensation!

No it is not! Middle class means the median income and the median income is not $116,208! It is more like $49,500 and that is not nationally but IN CALIFORNIA!!!    Just the Facts (this was taken from a website detailing the state of women in California, however the last statistic was for all sources of income, excluding wife’s earnings. When you add the wife’s earning the median income is $70,000-still a far cry from 116, 208 dollars!)  What California is this guy living in that he thinks the average citizen is pulling down six figures? The middle class is quickly evaporating in this country but especially in California. There is no solidly middle class in California. There is poor and rich! And the gap keeps getting wider. Remember the middle class support both the poor and rich. The poor through social programs and the rich through their labors. You can only stretch the middle class so far before they unable to sustain it anymore and the whole economic situation goes to pot!

No wonder this guy stands alone in his defense of giving legislators more money even their constituents are hurting financially, he is a veritable loon! Only someone with limited mental facilities could deliver such hogwash and believe it to be so. The Propositions we will be voting on during this special election are: 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, and 1F

Dolly Parton and the Gay Elite

Dolly Parton, who is definitely the queen of country music, has again had to answer questions about her sexuality.  What bothers me about this is not that  Dolly may or may not be gay (she’s not by the way, she has been married for 43 years. ) but how the gay community in this country continually tries to use the threat of homosexuality against others.

Dolly will be the first one to admit she has no problem with gay people and I believe her but the gay community  has a huge problem with itself.  Why else would they try to label people “gay” that they don’t like.  Take Peter LaBarbera of Americans for the Truth About Homosexuality. Peter is a former All State agent that was fired for writing Christian commentary about homosexuality on his own time.  Since then he has taken up to revealing the real purpose behind the gay agenda in this country.  Yet every chance they get they try to label him as “gay.”  If being gay is so good and wonderful, why do they use it as an insult against their enemies?  I believe my Blackness is special and even adds to my worth.  There is something intrinsically beautiful in it and you will never hear me go around saying to my enemies,  “Oh you are such a Black man!” If I love that part about me why would I use it disparagingly against another? Yet gay people, especially the more militant ones use it to shut down communication from their opponents. They think if they level the charge of homosexuality that will stop the person in their tracks because they won’t want anyone thinking the other side is right.  Yet the ploy wouldn’t work at all if the person leveling the charge didn’t believe that homosexuality was wrong!

Yet there is a flip side, with Dolly I believe they want her to be gay because they love her so much.  So if someone like Dolly could just be gay too their world would make more sense.  Sure they got Elton and Ellen, even Portia De Rossi, but with the gay community it is all about numbers. They need as many people to be gay so they can normalize it, so they can gain even more political power than they already have with their limited numbers.  They want us to  go: “Hmm if a down  home, country girl like Dolly is gay,  I guess it ain’t so bad. ” It is even more important for Dolly to be gay then it is for Elton or Ellen because people who listen to country are overwhelmingly conservative. Therefore if they can get an icon like Dolly to be on their team, it would mean having an in, in the last bastion of conservative entertainment-country music.

Dolly is a class act, so she just laughs it off and goes about her life.  Which is exactly what she should do.  My problem is how they continue to dog her with this rumor. This isn’t the first time she had to answer it.  If it was just about Dolly or Peter, I wouldn’t care.  My beef is how gays try to play both sides of the field.  We hate you, so you’re gay! We love you so you’re gay! Make up your mind. The truth is homosexuality is not a permanent state.  The truth is there is something inherently dysfunctional in homosexuality. The truth is this war we are in right now has nothing to do with equal rights.  This war is about total domination and utter annihilation of moral codes starting with religion! This is not a fight between gays and straights, it is a fight between God and Satan….very simply put.

Dolly is a fantastic artist and I would still love her music even if she was gay (I still listen to Elton John) but  I might just pray a little harder for her if she was.  In the meantime, the Gay Elite needs to respect the privacy that it is always saying it wants for itself.

A Real Feminist Would…..

I am so sick of feminism being associated with these hateful, leftist women who want nothing more than to tear donwn the traditional family, our country and even God himself. I am part of an organization that was built on true feminism-The Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. These women knew they were daughters of God and acted accordingly. So in line with the true feminism of the past, I have decided to write a short essay on what a real feminist would do today.

A real feminist would……

1) Fight to end abortion.  No true feminist would ever pit mother against child and would help the mother improve her lot so she could raise her child more successfully. She would know abortion is about man’s freedom, not hers and she would fight the greedy profiteers who get rich off women’s pain.  A true feminist would abhor abortion as a man’s way of ditching his responsibility to the woman and the child.  She would not view it as a woman’s right at all but as women being failed.

2) Fight for school choice. She would want all children to be able to go to the best schools and would allow parents to pick the schools instead of school districts.   Her allegiance would not be with the failing schools, the inept teachers and bureaucrats but with the parents and the children. She would encourage homeschooling and allow parents the opportunity to educate their own children without government interference.

3) Fight for marriage which provides women and children the best opportunity for grow.  She would know that women are safer in a marriage than they are out of it.  She would fight for true marriage equality which keeps the woman a necessary part of marriage through heterosexual unions and would fight gay marriage which removes woman as a necessary part of marriage.  She would understand authentic marriage is already equal and gay marriage is a discriminatory practices that relegates women to second class citizens unworthy of marriage.

4)  Fight for capitalism.  It is not socialism that brings people out of poverty, rather it keeps them in it. It is capitalism that allows people to be successful and promotes individual effort. It is capitalism that rewards creativity, ingenuity and self-reliance. It is capitalism that allows us to have choice-Pepsi or Coke,  Dell or HP, Big Mac or Whooper.  Without the competition that forces companies to produce better products at reasonable prices we would all live under monopolies and be forced to buy from a solitary company (mainly the government) that never had to produce a quality product because they knew we had no other choice.

5) Fight for the rights of men. That’s right-men. They wouldn’t allow their brothers, fathers, sons, husbands and other important men in their life to be degraded and abused.  They would see that men and women are not enemies but complementary units needed not only to survive but thrive. They would understand that by working with men and not against them we achieve a level of excellence we cannot achieve otherwise.  That their strengths does not make us weak.  That by building all people up, men and women, Black and White,  Jew and Gentile, that we are building up God’s kingdom on Earth.  We are building a nation of supreme beings. We lose ourselves not because we reach out to men but because we cut ourselves off from them.

6) Most importantly, they would fight for God and the free expression of religion, most specifically Christianity.  The belief in Jesus Christ has done more to uplift people than any liberal social program has ever done.  The belief in God has caused people to leave behind life long addictions and change their life. That no one has ever been able to top the Ten Commandments as the most complete guide to living a moral life and achieving happiness.

Ah, yes this is what a real feminist would believe and fight for. Too bad there are not more of them. We need all the real feminists we can get.

Prop 8 Justices to Uphold the Will of the People?

Michael McKee wrote a piece that looks like the judges who took away our right to decide same sex marriage last time might actually follow the law this time around. So far this has been a fight of semantics.  Is it a revision or an amendment? Is it a marriage or a domestic partnership? And while they are fighting over words, some of us are fighting for the institution of marriage.  Counterfeits like domestic partnerships, civil unions and other such fraudulent unions also need to be done away with. Just like we don’t allow people to use counterfeit money to pay their debts (I wish we did because I have a whole bunch of Monopoly money that would get me out of debt in no time!) we shouldn’t allow counterfeit marriages to be considered legal and binding in the eyes of the law. Such counterfeits undermine the true institution of marriage and make a mockery of it.

Michael McKee wrote back in July 2008 that the conservative movement backing Prop. 8 was crumbling because there seemed to be a dispute about one of the backers.    http://www.law.com/jsp/article.jsp?id=1202423011880
Of course what people like Michael McKee and the liberal establishment fails to realize is that though the liberal world is identified by the organizations in which they belong, the conservative world is not. If I up and decided to leave AFA, FRC, Silent No More, Exodus International or any of the other organizations I associate with, I would still be conservative. My views are my views and not the property of FRC. Of course, we see just how accurate he was about us crumbling. We passed Prop. 8 and now it time to uphold the will of the people.

The justices have 90 days to make a decision regarding Prop 8 but it looks like this time they are going to do the right thing and uphold the amendment. It is the No on Prop 8 people who are running scared and who continue to try to wrap this up in a false dichotomy of equality versus discrimination.  However, none of their arguments are based on any sound theory or scientific fact.  Whereas,  social science has continually found that the nuclear family is the ideal for the upbringing of children.  Feelings and emotions are great within that familial structure but to base our society and civilization on such shaky and unproven theories,  let alone emotions  to make maladjusted adults feel better about their abnormality is grossly dangerous.  It is time to stop thinking about the adults and start thinking about children-they are the ones who suffer in all this.
