No Longer a Conservative (But Still Not a Liberal)

In the recent months,  I have seen my beloved conservatives become nothing but mad-starved liberals. While saying they promote limited government and individual freedom they have chosen a lifetime liberal candidate who values neither of these things. I will say this for Obama, much like Andrew Diamond of my Aviva Center days  who made me value religious liberty, he has mad me value the Constitution. I knew almost nothing about it until he stepped into office. Then I even went to school and learned more about it. I have to hand it to Obama, he more than anyone else has made me the devoted defender of the Constitution and after finding this great love of mine, I am not about to let it go for the likes of Donald Trump.

Constitution imagesA good friend of mine who hated Obama for his defiance of the Constitution, actually said we don’t need the Constitution when Trump started running for President. One of the smartest women I knew was willing to throw the Constitution away for the sake of Trump, at that point I knew we had to go our separate ways, I could no longer be friends with someone willing to trade liberty for security. During the past several months since Trump’s candidacy, I have had several similar experiences. The steadfast conservatives  I trusted all these years have become the Obamabots we all made fun of for years.

ConstitutionSo I f I am not a conservative anymore, what am I? I am constitutionalist. So what is a constitutionalist as opposed to a conservative? A Constitutionalist is a true believer in liberty, defends the Constitution, is God-fearing and seeks to help the poor and less fortunate in ways that will improve their lot and not keep them dependent. A conservative while saying they promote these things does not promote the right to life and will place financial security above the right to life and liberty any time. They will promote fascist tactics against their enemies and while they talk a good game about God are constantly supporting people choosing “the lesser of two evils.” They also lack real understanding or love for the Constitution. As such, it would be dishonest of me to continue calling myself a conservative.

The good news is I am not the only constitutionalist. There are plenty of us out there. Yet we can no longer align ourselves with these faux conservatives and we surely cannot lend our noble name and purpose along with their liberal hijinks, so it is time for us constitutionalists to stand tall and let it be known that while the liberals and conservatives are killing each other in the streets, we will be fast at work restoring our nation to the state of liberty it once enjoyed. While it is easy to be discouraged by the unfolding events, we must not let that dissuade that from achieving our goals of “letting freedom ring.” King didn’t die so we could pander to the moderates. Our Founding Father didn’t stake their fortunes so that tyranny would reign. We deserve more. We deserve America.

The Opening of Cuba…or Is It?

On Febuary 3, 1962, President John. F. Kennedy signed a trade embargo against Cuba. From that time on America has not allowed trade between the two countries. Being that they were communist country with allegiance to Russia during the height of the Cold War period such precautions were absoultely necessary.

But as Barack Obama walks on Cuban ground he does so as the first President to do so in 54 years. This indeed is an historical event, but as we have seen with Barack himself, just because it is historical doesn’t mean it is beneficial to the American people. How will this affect our foreign Gitmopolicy with Cuba? It is not like we don’t have any contact with Cuba, after all. They do house the world’s worst prisoners and terrorists. It always seemed like a strange arrangement to me; “No, we won’t buy your cigars (legally anyway.) but  we give you the world’s most dangerous terrorists to house, how does that work for you?”

Of course, people are coming down on both sides of the issue. There are people who think the embargo is unneccessary and it is time to open up to Cuba and start establishing a new diplomatic relationship. In fact, prior to Obama’s vist there was already talk about opening up embassies in each country’s respective capitals. [http://www.cnn.com/2014/12/17/politics/cuban-embargo-questions-answers/]. And there are others like Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, who are both from Cuban parents, that feel Cuba hasn’t lived up to Proclamation 3447 and therefore the embargo should stay in effect.

It says those things can only happen after certain conditions have been met, none of which have been met. Ted Cruz broke his silence on the news with a bang, calling the decision “a tragic Ted Cruzmistake.” He went on to further state: “Just like the administration did with Iran, right when the [Iranian] administration was feeling the maximum pain, [Obama] throws them an economic lifeline and continues the brutal repression and dictatorship of the Castro brothers,” said Cruz, whose father emigrated from Cuba in 1957, four years before the U.S. imposed a strict trade embargo on the country.  http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2014/12/ted-cruz-obamas-new-cuba-policy-will-be-remembered-as-a-tragic-mistake/451260/

And it is not just Cruz and Rubio who disagree but Cuba’s own anti-government protestors who were arrested shortly before Obama’s arrival.  https://www.facebook.com/NBCMiami/videos/10153573880327582/?fref=nf  [See video of protestors here] Just add this to another long line of Obama’s foreign policy failures. While many people are trying to paint this as  Nixon’s reopening of China to the West, is that really a good thing? After all, we are up to our eyeballs in debt to China, we outsource all our work to China, and they only recent changed their one child policy so now people can have a whole two kids! Wow, two kids, let me catch my breath! China didn’t exactly stop its human rights abuses when Nixon normalized relations, so what is the likelihood that Cuba under Fidel’s brother, Raul will?

Obama has a penchant for making friends with our enemies and alienating our allies. From Benghazi to the deal with Iran he has consistently shown his ineptitude in dealing with foreign adversaries. Do we really need another Benghazi in Havana? If we do normalize relations with Cuba how will that affect Americans at home? For instance, will jobs now be outsourced to Cuba? After all, it much easier to send jobs to Cuba than to Obama_erect_1210868iChina. If that happens, how will that affect our relationship with China? Will that cause them to be less forgiving of the debt we owe them and if so, what will be the end result of their dissatisfaction? Not to mention, Russia is friendly with both nations. If  Cuba restablishes its relationship with the United States how will Putin take that? It is not just simply a matter of “Oh I love Cuban food, Desi Arnaz and cigars, let’s be friendly with Cuba!” There is a lot at stake here and I don’t think Obama is grasping the entire situation. But then that is par for the course for him.

Why Marco Rubio for President?

Everyone who knows me knows that I am a Jindal girl. He is my favorite conservative politician and though I would love to see him as President, I don’t think he has the pull at this time to gain the Presidency. Though he would make a fantastic vice president. That being said I do think Marco Rubio does have the necessary pull among mainstream America to pull in a successful Presidential race. That is if The GOP listens to its constituents (which it usually doesn’t.).

You might be asking yourself why you should vote for Marco Rubio? What can he give you that some other Republican nominee can’t? I will go through why he is better than some of the other candidates and his voting record, so you can get a better look at why Marco Rubio should be our next President.

  1. Trump vs. Rubio

Trump has burst onto the Republican scene as the candidate to beat. He obviously has a lot of ideas that people agree with, especially when it comes to amnesty and immigration. However, having a few good ideas is not enough to make you a good President. Every President since FDR has come in with “good” ideas on how to improve America. Yet we have had far more mediocre and bad presidents than we have had good or great ones. So good ideas alone cannot make a Presidency. Even Obama came in saying he was going to make the government more transparent. That every bill would be posted for at least 48 hours before any vote was taken (and when is that exactly happening Obama?!) and instead we got the Fast and Furious, hidden emails from Hilary and conservatives being threatened by the IRS. So much for that transparency.

Rubio, on the other hand, doesn’t just talk a good game about what is going to do he has a record that shows you what he Immigration-Services_1will do. He has consistently shown himself to be a fiscal conservative and not bowing down to every interest group that comes down the pike. He co-sponsored the bill to get the Keystone XL Pipeline going. He is also for making our country much more secure by doing E-verify, strengthening the border. etc. This is a quote from Marco Rubio regarding illegal immigration:

We also understand it is so special, unique, some people are willing to risk their lives to come here illegally. As compassionate people, we understand that reality and our heart breaks at the stories of what people are having to go through to come. But we also understand the United States of America is a sovereign country. Every single sovereign country on the planet, every single one, tries to or does control its borders and who comes into the country and who leaves. Every country in the world does that. The United States of America should not be any different.

At the end of the day, that is what this issue is about. It is that we have a sovereign right to protect our border and we have a crisis on the southern border of the United States. For many different reasons, people have chosen to cross that border illegally, consistently, for the 20 or 30 years, and the results are obvious to all of us. That is why border security is such an important part of this bill and this measure.

Rubio has shown himself to have strong character, yes he does want to fix illegal immigration in this country, but he doesn’t need to create the sort of crazed melee that Trump has. If all you want to do is change immigration then Trump is your guy but if you want to change America. If you want to make it better for everyone then you need to take a closer look at Marco Rubio.

  • 2 Carson vs. Rubio

Ben CarsonI like Ben Carson. He seems to be a nice, intelligent man. But that doesn’t make him Presidential material. Long gone are the days when a President was nothing more than a mere caretaker and didn’t really need that much political savvy in which to successfully do his job. Today a president is not just a mere figurehead as he was back in the early days of our country. Ben might one day make a great President but just not now.

On the other hand, Marco Rubio has the same character and foresightedness that draws people to Ben Carson and also has a substantial record of standing with conservative values when it comes time to voting. Some people say we need Rubio more in the legislator bracket than we do as a President because he can more effectively get bills passed as a Senator than he could as a President.That is not entirely false, he has shown himself to be both consistent and effective as a legislator and even his colleagues think highly of him. Michelle Bachmann at Politicon, when questioned about Rubio, said he was the most articulate of all the candidates. And while she thought his position on amnesty (she seemed to think he was for it) would hurt him, she also thought overall he would make a good president. (Unfortunately, I didn’t spot the outlet to plug in my computer until after she had talked about Rubio, but it was being filmed so I am sure you can find her comments somewhere.) So I am certain that as president Rubio would be able to use those strong connections he has already forged to help get bills passed, whereas Ben would have to start from scratch.

Those are the two big candidates that Rubio is going up against. Now we will look at some other reasons why Rubio should be President:

Marco already has a quite the cash flow. According to the Federal Election Committee Rubio has $8,920,928 in individual contributions. He has received no money from the GOP and as for PACs he has only taken in $204,200. So what does this tell us? It tells us that he is not beholden to PACs to get his message out. Nor to the Republican Party. It is individual people and businesses that are putting their money behind Rubio. The people behind Rubio come from all walks of life, business owners, retirees, homemakers, salespersons, etc. They all have one thing in common, they all believe in Marco Rubio and many have contributed one more than one occasion because of that belief.  That is the kind of President we need. One that everyone can believe in.

When I talked to a potential voter about Rubio, he told me that his being pro-life was going to hurt him. I told him he was wrong, that more than ever people are fast becoming pro-life and with Cecile Richards and Planned Parenthood being brought forth before Congress in order to decide whether or not to defund them, more people are starting to see the truth behind abortion and they are not liking it. According to Vote Smart Rubio has a 100 percent pro-life record. In fact, when it comes to organizations like NARAL, he has received a 0 percent rating. NARAL is the largest abortion advocacy group in America. The difference between NARAL and Planned Parenthood is that Planned Parenthood does abortions, while NARAL just advocates for them to remain legal.  Gallup recently did a poll and said more people are pro-choice than pro-life, but obviously people at Gallup are apparently idiots and cannot read their own poll. Because it read that 39 percent said abortion should be legal in a few cases (rape, incest, life of mother) and 19 percent said it should be illegal in all cases, now maybe they are doing that Common Core math but in real mathematics 36+19=55. Fifty-five percent means MOST Americans are pro-life. How did they arrive at this conclusion that more Americans are pro-choice? Because when asked 50 percent described themselves as pro-choice even though they really weren’t. Gallup took that self-described nonsense and ran with it. Yet as we can see Rubio’s strong pro-life ethic will serve him well in his Presidency.

So as you can see Marco Rubio has the character, the ability and the fiscal common sense needed to become the next President of the United States and if we are to reclaim our glory, let’s hope he does.

As I told all of you yesterday I attended the Women Betrayed rally. This is footage from it and I am the  Black woman waving the sign as soon as the video opens. It was really a great experience and it really revved me up to do as much as I can for the pro-life movement. And as much as the focus is about the children, not the individuals within the movement, it is still nice to be on television and FOX News no less. LOL

 

 

 

 

 

Election 2012: The Most Important Issue Award Goes To….

Abortion. That’s right, the most important election issue this cycle is abortion. Readers of my blog will most assuredly go, “Okay, we get it, you are anti-abortion, can you talk about something else already?”  However, abortion continues to top the headlines. This past week we had Rick Perry, a Republican contender for the Presidency, say that he has “transformed” his view on abortion. After watching a pro-life movie in which a woman conceived of rape speaks, he is now saying he is 100% pro-life.  There was also a couple who did an abortion at home and when they couldn’t quite fully kill their child they put the remains under the Christmas tree in a gift box. http://www.fox8.com/news/nationworld/ktla-aborted-fetus,0,250932.story

Much to the chagrin of the fiscal conservatives and zealous pro-choice liberals the issue of abortion is not going away and will have a defining impact on this upcoming election. Especially with Personhood Amendments appearing on ballots throughout the nation, the question of abortion can no longer be ignored. The abortion issue is to this election what slavery was to the 1860 campaign trail. It is now coming to the forefront of our nation’s consciousness. Its importance cannot be  understated because we are talking about human lives here. Regardless of what the pro-choicers would like you to believe the biological debate of when life begins  was settled in the 19th century. The anti-personhood argument is philosophical, political and theological in nature, not scientific therefore has no rational basis to seek a denial of human rights and protection under the law.

With this issue not going away, how could one successfully resolve it? One way is already being done, states are proposing their own Personhood Amendments that would become effective when Roe v. Wade gets overturned. In fact, South Dakota is the only state not to have any abortion clinics within its territory. So we see that it can be done. Education of basic fetalogy and the current stage of the baby have had a profound effect on women obtaining abortions afterwards. Continuing to educate women along with allowing them to see the ultrasound if they so desire, give women all the accurate information they need to make a better choice. Finally, extending the 14th amendment to include the unborn would be the easiest way to make sure that the unborn are given the rights they deserve without having to pass a new amendment which would be time consuming and may not pass the ratification process.

You  may wonder why I did not pick an easy answer like the economy as the most important issue, well because the elimination of 50 million human beings takes precedence but also because it does have a profound effect on the economy. By annihilating 50 million potential workers, we have created the economic dire straits we find ourselves in now. The only addition to the population and henceforth workers has been through immigration-legal and Free screensaverotherwise. We are below replacement levels and we are hemorrhaging not only in the moral sense but in the economic sense as well. Therefore, it is imperative we correct this situation or else we will find ourselves on the road to extinction. At that point the economy won’t mean very much will it?

Occupy Wall Street vs. The Tea Party

Anyone who has followed my blog for any length of time knows that I am a Tea Party girl. However, one cannot ignore this Occupy Wall Street movement that is the Left’s equivalent of the Tea Party. When the Tea Party first started growing the Left tried their inane beverage parties as if the people joining the movement were all enamored and obsessed with tea or something. You had the Coffee Party, there was a Beer Party and I am sure if  you looked hard enough you could’ve found a Diet Fanta party for anorexic Hispanics or some other such nonsense. 
         With the failure of those parties, they finally hit upon an idea-re-create Woodstock with its sex, drugs and non-existent bathing and boom the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement was born. OWS is basically Woodstock on speed. There is a vast difference between the two movements and it can best be summed up in this “photo” I recieved in my email:

 There is a reason the two parties cannot get along besides the whole  rape thing. The reason is because the two movements fundamentally disagree on how this country should be. The tea party thinks people should be responsible for creating and carrying out their own destiny. While the OWS group thinks government should be involved every time you take a breath.  While the government does a role in the lives of its citizens it is not supposed to be a nanny. The purpose of government is to protect its citizens and provide infrastructure to society in order that its citizens can then live their lives according to their own beliefs and ideals. So long as those ideals don’t cause undue harm to others.

The only thing these two movements have in common are that they are both grassroots based. Beyond that, the movements are like night and day. The Tea Party wants to reign in the government and hold them accountable for their actions. The OWS blames Wall Street for the woes the nation is facing while they are carrying around laptops,  IPODs and wearing FUBU. It is pretty clear they have no understanding of what they are fighting, whereas the Tea Party is very clear in what it wants to see take place. Ask anyone at a Tea Party about the Constitution and they will most likely whip out their own little pocket copy. People at a Tea Party have an understanding of what the Constitution and why it should be followed. The OWS crowd seems far less educated about their own cause. Which only makes them look foolish.

What is worse is the government is actually behind this movement. You have both Obama and Nancy Pelosi encouraging and supporting the protesters. Rule number one of a protest: Never have the government back your cause! No protester worth their salt would ever have the government endorse them! I know you OWS people dropped a lot of acid during Woodstock but even with your limited brain cells left you must at least remember that from your protest days!

In closing, all I can say is if it comes down to a showdown between the Tea Party and the OWS crowd  you better hope and pray the Tea Party wins or else you won’t have a country, job or freedom left.

House Votes to Defund Planned Parenthood

In a victory for pro-life Americans and for unborn children everywhere, the House has voted to defund Planned Parenthood from the Obamacare health care law that passed last year.

Planned Parenthood is the biggest abortion provider in the country, though they also have an international arm as well. The House voted to defund Planned Parenthood 240-185. This is a wonderful sign that Planned Parenthood, an organization that was built on eugenics and bigotry, is finally going under and people like Margaret Sanger (the racist founder), Peter Singer (a Princeton professor that wants the right to kill children two years and under) and the rest of the demented group of pro-choicers are finally losing this battle. You can only deny life to a group of people for so long before they start to stand up!

The unborn are starting to “speak out” not through their own voice obviously but through technology like 4D ultrasounds and concerned
Americans who are starting to see the dangerous precedence that abortion has set. It is time the unborn were recognized as human beings in their own right! My son does not need my permission to live! My son does not require me to love him to make him a valuable human being! My son is a person in his own right and neither I nor any of you have the right to demand his death for your convenience!

In the meantime, the pro-life movement is winning hearts and minds. You can’t base a movement on lies and expect it to survive indefinitely. From it is only a clump of cells to abortion has no effect on women, the pro-choice community has built a house of cards based on illogical fallacies and blatant lies. Since most of its foundation is based on irrational, emotional responses and they are deathly afraid (pardon the pun) of anything scientific (do not be fooled, they abhor actual science because most of the time, it gives credence to the pro-life movement, not theirs!), it gets harder and harder to sustain their positions.  Their time is ending and one day there will be no more abortion in America and what a glorious day that will be!

It is Election Day and soon it will be found out if conservatives did indeed claim the White House back from the commie hijackers that stole it in November 2008.  This is not so much about party but about what kind of country we want to leave for our children (Yes, pro-aborts some of us still think having children is a good thing and want to leave the world better than we found it! ) For too long now, we have followed the Pied Pipers of Liberalism to our own detriment.

 As of right now, I don’t  know who the governor of California is.  Is it Meg Whitman? Is another round of Jerry Brown (hello! You did a crappy job the first time around, some of us actually remember that!)? Neither one really appeals to me, which is why I will be voting for Chelene Nightingale.  Whether she wins or not, the important thing is to continue to fight for the values we hold dear:

Our future is on the line. We will either continue as a nation forged in liberty or we will become the slaves of the government who thinks they know better than we do. In each generation, there is a time to stand up, stand tall and raise your voice in freedom.  This is our time! I belong to Generation Me. I grew up in a generation devoted to hedonism, feminism and where corruption became the norm. I grew up in the day of AIDS, sexual depravity and moral relevancy. All these things seeking to lay claim to our shared humanity. I had to make a decision.  I could continue down this path of destruction or I could turn my life around and help others to do the same. My generation more than any other has done more to damage the social fabric of society and it is time that we clean up our mess!  If we can destroy it then we can rebuild it! And it all starts with one election! This election!

We will either continue to do what we have always done-exploit greed. Or we take back our Constitution and our right to govern ourselves. So when you go out and vote this Election Day, remember that we are one vote away from becoming Communist China. One vote away from allowing the government to have total control over every aspect of our lives. One vote away from a media run only by the state. One vote away from being silenced. Will you be silenced? I hope not. Get out and vote!

America’s Independent Women

I have been asked to speak on Chelene Nightingale’s behalf at Los Angeles City College during their Voter Ed seminar that they will be presenting on November 1st at 1pm. Chelene Nightingale is the American Independent Party gubernatorial candidate (Note: What a funny word-gubneratorial. Does that make all our governors-goobers? LOL) I have been officially allowed by her campaign to speak on her behalf, so it is just not me going out there as a supporter but it is in a somewhat official capacity as well.

If you look closely at this race, you will see a large number of women running for public office. We have two women running for governor and neither one is a Democrat. We have two women running for the Senate seat. Men seem almost non-existent in this race. Women and minorities have come to realize that the Democratic policies –which were supposed to make their lives better and provide equality–have failed miserably. Because of this those who were before beholden to the Democratic Party are beginning to reject it.

This has led women (and men) to leave the failing two party system and seek out other alternative third parties. While the Dems and GOP continue to fight among themselves, people are looking towards creating and promoting already established third parties. Let the Dems and Republicans mock this growing movement. As Mahatma Ghandi once said:  “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” We are going to win and it will be those “independent” breed of women and men that bring it to pass.

It has been an honor to work with Chelene’s campaign manager, Dani. She has been quite a  help as I try to promote Chelene as the best candidate we have for governor. Why is she the best candidate you ask? In my opinion she is the best candidate she has the best vision for California and has a plan on how to get us there. She wants to give homeschooling parents, a tax credit.  She wants to bring jobs back to California by giving small businesses tax incentives and tax breaks. She wants to halt illegal immigration by attrition. By forcing illegals to go back home, there will be more needed services for those who are in this country legally and its citizens. These reforms are needed to get this state back on its feet again.

I think it is imperative that we stop looking to the broken two party system, which is really the one party system, and start coming up with new ways to impact our government. Whether Chelene wins or loses she is taking a stand and putting the politicians on notice. We don’t need politicians, we need public servants and I feel that is what Chelene Nightingale brings to the table, more so than her rivals.

Third Parties-Are They Viable?

There are plenty of “third party” parties out there. You have the Constitution Party, American Independent Party, The Green Party, Libertarian Party

(which to me is the Democratic Party on steroids.), The Peace and Freedom Party and the list goes on.  However, when you ask most people about the third party candidates, you often hear one familiar refrain-“voting for a third party is a waste of a vote because a third party can never win.”

Good thing no one told Abraham Lincoln that back in 1860, when he was running on a third party ticket, the newly formed Republican Party for the Presidency.  Maybe they did but he just didnt’ listen. Maybe he had more faith in his party, more faith in his capabilities as a lawyer, a Congressman and future president and definitely more faith in the American people not to get sidetracked by Whigs telling him he didn’t stand a chance!

The Republican Party went from a lowly third party to being not only a major party but giving us the most Presidents out of any party! There are some really good parties out there, all it takes is stop the defeatist attitude that voting for a third party always means certain death and start searching out parties that truly reflect your values. If you are a crazed communist bent on world domination and global socialism. Then maybe the Democratic Party is for you after all.  For the rest of us, it is time we fight the two party system and start electing people that are truly “representative” of us and our beliefs.

Are third parties viable? Only if we make them viable. Only if we stop thinking we have to take this broken system and continue using it. Of course, third parties will continue to lose if we don’t back them. But as the Republican Party has shown us, third parties are not doomed to be third parties forever and it is time that the American people to show the politicians who really is in charge! It is through times of adversity that greatness is revealed, not success. In order to gain back our liberties, we need to stand against the Whigs and Democrats of today!

I think since the days of Lincoln, slavery and Confederacy has there never been so great a need for a third party in this country.  Status quo has never achieved anything worthwhile, so it is time we revolt against it and show these modern politicians what “We the People” really means! The more  people are willing to leave the failing two parties, the more they will have to work to retain our vote. Don’t think it is time they start working for us again people?

Will Conservatives Blow It in 2010?

 

When Republican Newt Gingrich took his place as Speaker of the House in 1995, he made a “Contract With America.” It was supposed to save our country from the future onslaught of  liberal policies and return our country to the  former constitutional republic it had been.

According to Wikipedia:

Proponents say the Contract was revolutionary in its commitment to offering specific legislation for a vote, describing in detail the precise plan of the Congressional Representatives, and marked the first time since 1918 that a Congressional election had been run broadly on a national level. Furthermore, its provisions represented the view of many conservative Republicans on the issues of shrinking the size of government, promoting lower taxes and greater entrepreneurial activity, and both tort reform and welfare reform.

The “Contract With America” was seen as a tremendous victory for the conservative movement. However, even with such an surge of political activism and  a burgeoning political movement-it failed. It failed not because the Contract itself was defective but because we rested on our laurels. The Republicans had reclaimed Congress after forty years of a Democratic majority. However, instead of using that victory to make permanent and lasting changes to our government we simply gave up.  We thought we had won the fight and that nothing else was needed.

We are pretty much at the same point 15 years later.  In 1995, the Republicans gained their victory because the Clinton Administration  was falling apart and Clinton was constantly under attack for charges of misconduct. With Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, Whitewater, the Foster suicide among other events, the Clinton Administration was seen as “corrupt.” Even the impeachment of the President was a mere three years away. It was a troubling time. Had the Republicans not won the majority in such conditions-that would’ve been the shocker.

So here we are again with the Obama administration and his flagrant disregard for the Constitution itself, let alone the America people. His approval rating is slipping. Obamacare has turned out to be his biggest mistake which he still refuses to recognize. He has taken over private industry like with GM and he has put the most rabid, radical people in his cabinet, going so far as to create “czar” positions that are accountable only to him. The bailouts, the debt, the birth certificate no one has seen, all these things have made Obama-the worst president ever. With Obama, Pelosi and Harry Reid all under attack, the Democratic party  is falling apart.  So it is only logical  that the conservative movement via the Tea Party is growing exponentially again. 

Will we have learned our lesson from 1995 though? Will we take the momentum that we have built over the last decade and waste it? Or will we blow it like we did in 1995? The biggest problem is that everyone wants to be on the winning side, so when they see it is profitable for them to be conservative-they all jump on the bandwagon. When it stops becoming convenient they will abandon it in a minute. This is most especially true of our politicians. It is time we find those who are committed to the conservative cause and place them in the power of leadership. Not just at the federal level, but the local level as well–which has a bigger impact on our day to day lives anyway. It is time to stop falling for the “Contracts with America” and start concentrating on the only “contract” that matters and that is the Constitution.  I hope we have learned from our mistakes in 1995 so when we regain the House again, we will peter our chance to make real changes in this country all away.

Bush Welcomes Home Returning Vets

You have just got to love the look on that  young soldier’s face as he sees and greets President Bush at the Dallas airport.  Say what you want about Bush, he truly does care for our military men and women.  More so than his successor, Barack Obama.

As you can see the military men just love George W. Bush, he truly was their commander-in-chief.

A spokesman for Bush, David Sherzer, said they were “honored” to take part in the welcome. “President Bush often says that he doesn’t miss much about being the President, but he does miss being the Commander in Chief of an incredible group of men and women”, he said.

To me,  this represents what an American president is supposed to be about-putting those who serve our country ahead of his own self interests. Bush met the soldiers at the Dallas airport and was a part of many organizations that were welcoming home the troops. It is a shame that our sitting president is doing just that-sitting on the sidelines. He should’ve been there with Bush  welcoming home returning vets.

Maybe he wasn’t there because he thinks that the vets are a threat to national security. As you can see from this picture he seems almost uncomfortable having to shake this man’s hand. Whereas, George Bush seems pleased to meet the troops returning home.

Obama continues to disgrace the position of commander in chief more and more each day. And while it is disheartening to see  Obama give aid to our enemies, it is good to know that there are still people who care for this country and what it represents. It is just too bad liberals are not one of them.
