Ruth Bader Ginsburg, one of the most liberal judges on the Supreme Court has undergone surgery for pancreatic cancer. She had colorectal cancer in 1999. Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest and fast acting cancers there is. My aunt had pancreatic cancer and within two weeks she was dead. Pancreatic cancer was also what actor Michael Landon died of. So despite my intense dislike for everything she stands for and/or believes in, I wish her a speedy recovery. Besides it is no fun sticking it to a cancer patient.
Of course, given the fact she is 75, her time left upon the Supreme Court was narrowing even before this scare. Which leads us to wonder, who will take her place. With Obama in office, we can be assured it will be someone who defends porn (David Ogden), doesn’t pay their taxes (Geithner, Daschle), is pro-abortion to the point of insanity (you know, like Obama himself is.). Someone friendly to terrorists and hates America. Whomever he picks we are in for a nightmare of a Supreme Court justice and with life long appointments it means we will stuck with Obama’s Mini Me for a long time to come.
All we can hope for is enough angry conservatives let Obama know that with Ruth’s soon departure from the court, he had better not get any funny ideas about who to appoint. So far his track record for appointments has been abysmal. Can we expect him to do any better when it comes to Supreme Court justice appointments? I think not.
